Rating: Summary: EVERY MOTHER MUST READ Review: This is such a strong emotionally charged book that you cannot put it down. Following the ups and downs of Heaven-Leigh`s life (more downs than ups)starting as a small child and through to her adulthood. It is a real rollacoaster and one I could not get off untill all books in the series where read. I was three months pregnant when I started to read these and it went so deep inside me that when I gave birth to a beutiful little 7lb 2oz girl I named her Heaven-Leigh. Unlike her name- sake she has grown to have a happy life and I have never regretted my choice of name, read it and you will understand too.....
Rating: Summary: The first book in the Casteel series Review: In this book, Heaven's grandmother tells her that her real mother was a runaway Boston girl named Leigh, but whom they called Angel. Heaven's life is going pretty good unitll her step-mother, Sarah, leaves after her fifth child is a sex-less still born. Heaven and her half-sibilings, Tom, Fanny, Keith and Our Jane are basically on their own after their grandmother dies. They still have their grandfather, but he's off in his own world where his wife is still alive and their pa who is gone for weeks at a time. Then Pa comes up with a money making scheme to sale his five children for 500 dollars a piece. What will Heaven do?
Rating: Summary: GOOD BOOK! Review: In my opinion, Heaven was a good book. It was the first V.C. Andrews book I have ever read. I wasn't able to put it down. I loved it. Heaven was very independent. Her dad was a jerk to sell all of his kids like that. Made me mad! I have been reading lots of V.C. Andrews since i read Heaven!
Rating: Summary: Heaven, Ruler of Weirdna Review: I simply do agree with V.C when she said that this was her boring novel. It is not as superb or as known as Flowers in the Attic, but it is a classic no less. Heaven is very original, and as most outgoing things go it has been copied truely now, up to sixteen or so years later. Heaven was the birther to that oh so popular and trademarked V.C gimik....you know the one, cinderella story, riches to rags, a beautiful girl put to shame by her family, trying to suceed in life..ect. ect. The biggest however is that it gives birth to the Weirdna or weird names era, of V.C book stars. Let's see there's Melody, Ruby, Dawn, Rain and maybe more...but Heaven being the first and by far the most independent ~in my opinion guys~ has been crowned Ruler of these book starlets. There are the little differences though, like for instence, the GRANDMOTHER IS NOT evil!!! not to mention a few ther little twists. All in all, it's not that bad but the sequels are what movies are made of, Like the Notorious Adultry Part in Fallen Hearts....so go on buy this book....come on you know you want to....even though you think you know exacly what is going to happen......
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good! Review: This book was actually written by VC Andrews and not one of those lame ghost writers. This is not as good as Flowers in the Attic. I don't think she could ever have topped that if she wrote for a thousand years, but nonetheless it is interesting. Heaven is a strong character and she survives the death of loved ones, abandonment, poverty and lies. I think you will enjoy this book and the rest of the series.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!!!!! ALMOST AS GUD AS FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC! Review: Virginia Andrews has to be one of my favourite aouthors EVA! her novels are inspiring to everyone, although the novels I have read so far all had an incestous relationship between a brother and a sister! I read flowers in the attic a year ago and became hooked. I recently read HEAVEN and I thought it was so full of emotion and you could almost feel her pain. I am definately going to read the sequel DARK ANGEL, I demand any1 who considers buying it should. It is about a girl of 14 who is poor beyond reason although she makes up for it in her amazing ability to learn her cruel stepfather drove away his wife with his lack of concern for his own family he was evil and twisted and he cruelfully sold off his children to strangers splitting apart heavens family- her worst nightmare. Heaven struggles against an evil stepmother and overall wins, she falls in love with two men and trials over which one to love and ends up with neither. Overall a good read.
Rating: Summary: I laughed, I cried, and I cheered. Review: I loved this book. Heaven is a beautiful person and I admire her greatly. I loved the way she tried to keep her family together. She was a hero, yet no one saw it. Her courage and valiance will always be there in my heart when I go threw hard times. I can't wait to get the second book in this series.
Rating: Summary: Incredible Story Review: Heaven and all the other books in this series are incredible to read. The characters aren't the most forgiving people, (though they did love their siblings) but they have very good reasons and I believe under the circumstances I would probaly act much the same. It has a great storyline, great writting that really does put you in the picture and the characters are priceless. It really is a book worth reading.
Rating: Summary: TOOTALAY Review: This is the most amazing book that I have ever read. I started reading VC Andrews when I was in high school and this is the best one. Keep up these wonderful masterpieces.LOVED IT!!!
Rating: Summary: Never seen like it before, Review: The first time this book was given to me by my best-friend I could not stop reading it and because of that book I failed my examination till this day of my life keep on reading it over and over again and never got borred from it and that was since 1995-2000, because of that book I decided to become a writer and how much I got influnced by that book I dropped medicine school!
