Rating: Summary: the best one i read Review: this book started right off with surprises that shocked me. My mom and i are the only ones who really read these at our house, but me mostly. i like this book so much because everything that happens to Heaven is so terrifying, yet she is still strong through all of this and kind of inspired me to read all of the books my mom had. if you are new to these books, i suggest you start off with this one!
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: I loved this book. By far one of Virginia Andrews best! The whole series was really good. Sherry A. Mauro's new book, EVEN ANGELS FALL reminds me a bit of this story. Her writing style is similar to VCA's. Another great author to read!
Rating: Summary: Avoid Review: This book is horrendous. The writing is bad (overuse of exclamation points throughout)and the plot line is very unbelievable. I think I read the Flowers in the Attic series a few years back and also thought that the farther I got into it, the worse it became. But Heaven is just altogether wretched. So, why did I read it all the way through? Once I commit to a book, I'll read it through the end. I was committed to this before I realized it. Anyway, don't waste your time.
Rating: Summary: A Heaven-ly Story With Devilish Twists Review: This book is about Heaven, a pretty, young girl, and her family, just trying to survive. They must deal with low food supply (when they have some), Our Jane's bad health, and their wicked father, who is hardly ever home--a dirty little shack in the Willies. All Heaven, and her five siblings, want is to run away to a good life. Their father has other plans for them.I would recommend this book to everyone who can read. It was definitely the most moving book I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: A real girl who can take anything! Review: So touching I enjoyed every word! I believe she has the capabities to do what ever she wants to be in a school instint she remides me of me I work hard and get good grades! great book!
Rating: Summary: Heaven is Heaven Review: Great book. Worth to write. A heartbreaking story about a young girl named Heaven. Not many girls in this world named Heaven, and not many have fate like hers. It is very sad to read a story about a father who sold their children. Recommended to read by girls (at teen age).
Rating: Summary: Smart Girl Clings to Hope Despite Horrible Circumstances Review: Heaven had no control whatsoever what she was dealed to in the beginning. It was awful of Luke to sell his children off. Heaven really wanted to establish friendships as well as enjoy activities with girls her age. However it wasn't fair to her to have to go directly home on account of Kitty. Cal did worse to betray Heaven's trust by assaulting her. I was glad when she got reunited with Tom. Logan should not have left her in the rain when Heaven was trying to tell him what had happened to her at the house of Kitty and Cal.
Rating: Summary: Heaven- A Wonderful Read Review: This book haunted me for many days. Its about the hard times of a young southern girl in the mountains and her family. This book will touch your heart. It is funny at times, heartbreaking and it makes you wonder how far into the despair of life we can go.This girl keeps her dignity through it all and have to raise her siblings most of the time.I'm sure deep in poverty stricten areas, like now and in the past, this story may touch on what may have occured in real life to some unforunate few. The first night, I read this book all the way through. It grips your attention and its hard to put down. You just must find out what happens to this girls life next. Its indepth and put you in the heart of the mountains, her home, her family and her heart. A MUST read. Very touching. I loved this book. V.C Anderews best work. Next, Flowers in the attic.
Rating: Summary: Heaven Review: Heaven is one of the best books I've ever read. If you like romance and tradgedy, you'd like this book. It's about a girl who goes through all of the hardships you could imagine and still lives through each day as if nothing is wrong. Through out the book she goes through each day trying to find her mother's family. Overall, it's a really inspiring book.
Rating: Summary: Angela Raves About her Fave Review: I thought this book was touching and inspiring, it helped me see that my life isnt as bad as I make it to be, that there are people out there that have it worse than me but they make the best of it and so should I. But this book made me cry it was really sad and very twisted. I recommend this whole series because Ive read all of the books and they are FANTASTIC! This book will make you laugh, cry, and will make you feel better about yourself believe it or not! Read it and I promise you'll be satisfied.
