Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: I read this book, along with the other five in this series. I loved all of them, and I think that this book was an excellent ending to the set. I love Christopher Pike! He is a really great author, and he is my role model! I recomend this book to everyone!
Rating: Summary: One of His Best Review: I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was touching on how he ended the series, having Sita be with her family from long ago. I also liked how he handled the entire series, the adventures she went on, all her loves, Krishna. I also liked how he had Seymore(sp) remember it all, and write it down, even though he was going to die. Good job Mr. Pike! I love your books!
Rating: Summary: Mixed feelings about the ending Review: I started reading The Last Vampire series when it first came out, and I remember checking the bookstore everytime the next installment was going to be available! Although I'm an adult now (although I was wee a preteen when the series started), I've still reread most of the installments. It's truly amazing how Pike manages to flesh out such a complete characterization. Talk about exposition.Another amazing thing is how each installment ties in so fluidly with each other and yet they stand alone with their own plot, be it her story with Ray or Joel, or her daughter. I do have to say my preference is with the first three, although all were wonderful. I'm just a sucker for the love stories, and the tragedy that comes with it, of course. I haven't reread this one, Creatures of Forever, in awhile, but I was a bit disappointed at the end. Although it was a very well-written book (although completely obscure at this point unless you've read the entire series, which you should anyway...) I wished it wouldn't have ended the way it did. I don't want to give it away, but I did get the feeling of "she went through all of this then for what?" I wish the last paragraph was left out, basically. Pike probably ended it the way he did because it was the only way *to* end the series without being tempted to continue on. Still, it's great escapism. If you're a young woman, you will identify with Sita, and it's incredibly easy to imagine yourself in her situation. I love the wit and humor Pike uses. It's very unlike a "YA novel" since most, like R.L. Stine, seem completely ludicrous (dialogue, especially) when you read them over the age of 15. Pike, on the other hand, doesn't pander to the lowest (or youngest) common denominator; the writing is every bit as good as any "adult" novel I've read. You might be disappointed after reading this, if only because you'll wish there were more to the series. I can't believe they haven't adapted this to a movie or tv series, especially with the success of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (which I highly recommend if you enjoy this genre).
Rating: Summary: The perfect ending for a perfect series. Review: I think this the the BEST book from the Last Vampire seires. Chirstopher has really out done him self on this one. I love how Sita decides to change every thing and make her life normal in the end.Its the Perfect ending to a Magnificent series!!!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I thought that Pike couldn't have written it better. The whole damn series was absolutley amazing. I loved the ending....even though it was sad. It just closed up the series even though I wished he would have made a 7th and 8th and so on......Thank you Pike for writing these books! I really wish I could hear more adventures of Sita though :(
Rating: Summary: Haunting Review: I thought this book was the best of the Last Vampire series. Christopher Pike came through with yet another haunting novel about Sita. The characters were wonderful and the twist at the end was great. Does anyone know when his new books about Sita's earlier adventures are coming out?
Rating: Summary: Last Vampire 5= Sad Review: I thoughtthis book was sad but I really liked it it was scary and good..And i thought it was really very cool.I thought the coolist part was when her daughter Kalika threw her off the building and Sita landed in the pool and she was like almost dead and all of the sudden her body heals it self i thought it was 1 of the coolest parts .
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I'm an avid reader and I am fascinated with fictional beings. Horror novels being my favorite. Christoper Pike has a wonderful imagination and writes about everything fantastic and horrific that someone like me would like. Vampires are one of my favorite subjects and this series takes you into the world of a beautiful and dangerous female vampire as she moves through her life meeting up with people who she knew hundreds of years back in her search for her maker, Yaksha. All the books by Christopher Pike are ones that you can't put down. This is a must have series for any book collection.
Rating: Summary: Sita, the one Sita!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I've read the whole series. It was soooooooo good. I felt like I'm so close to God. I felt like Sita is someone so close. It just made me my fantasy more wild. It made me realized positive things aren't always right, but that's no the point. Not only Sita is my favorte person, I don't want to say charecter because to me they're not charecters. Yaksha, Krishina and Seymore are also too. Although Seymore is more like a nerd. To me He's not a nerd from my point of view. The way how Sita had suffer. Her blood, her loves, her joy means a great deal but it's like you can't have all things at once. Pike is my favorite author. And you just can't miss any of his books. If you got his email adress please tell me. Oh and one more thing. I love the ending but it's killing me!
Rating: Summary: Last Vampire 6:Creatures of Forever. Review: Iloved this book but it had such a sad ending. Most who read it felt as if Sita was more than a charactor. I think Pike should make another book in the series.
