Rating: Summary: Fun Book, Quick read Review: I hate to admit that I read the book in 2 days, because of the length of time I know it takes to write one of these things, but I got sucked (no pun intended) right into the story. Good descriptions, most of the characters were beleivable. Will make you chuckle and shiver. Miriam is a hoot!
Rating: Summary: It was different alright.. Review: I love vampire books and couldn't wait to read this one after the reviews I read always touted it as "different". Well, it was, but not in a good way. The seedy side of L.A. was just plain disgusting, the sex was raunchy, not sexy, the attempts at humor failed, and the characters were nowhere.

Rating: Summary: This book is crazy Review: I read this book when I was first getting into the whole vampire thing...it is not for a vampire/romance newbie. It starts off bad(very disgusting) but it gets better. In fact I read the entire book one night at a sleepover with Girl Scouts...I was supposed to be sleeping, spending the next day hiking. It is a good book but with OOD imagry. The storyline is intense with a twisted sense of right. I loved it.

Rating: Summary: Thanks to all who have enjoyed Allison's new night life. Review: I was ten years old when I read Bram Stoker's DRACULA ... and it frightened the *&^% out of me! Which was what it was supposed to do. Since that time I knew I wanted to do the same thing to as many people as I could: Frighten an equally large quantity of *&^% out of people. Well ... maybe next time. When I first started NIGHT PRAYERS I knew it weren't gonna be no DRACULA. Besides, laughing too hard can also prove *&^% producing ... so be careful, but laugh all you want. And thanks again from Allison, Mica, and me, your humble author.
Rating: Summary: Night Prayers is the ultimate slipstream novel Review: In a remarkable weave of dark humor, horror, and urban fantasy Night Prayers transports the reader into an alternative take on urban angst and vampire lore with unusual wit and incisive commentary on the sociological foibiles and sexual follies of the nineities. Comparable to C. Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends with elements of Douglas Adams the book has a distinctive voice which compells the reader to page turn through the wild adventures and chaotic characters involved in Allison's adjustment to the dark gift. That said, Night prayers is insanely funny and altogether a great way to spend an evening.
Rating: Summary: It's Ok, but I've read better. Review: Lightweight, easy reading, but not much meat (excuse the pun). I really did enjoy it---while I was reading it. I was caught up in wondering where it was going. But after I finished, I sort-of said "Ho Hum." I guess I'm a fan of more "hard core" vampire novels.
Rating: Summary: A slightly different approach with a slightly humorous twist Review: Mid-thirties woman is turned into vampire and becomes stripper. Christian shill for joint tries to save her soul and defeat the other vampire strippers. Instead, is saved by new stripper and lives somewhat uncomfortably with her "ever" after. Good character development and a slightly unusual story line. A good read!
