Rating: Summary: action-packed espionage horror tale Review: In the Balkans, Janos Ferenczy has raised the dead with plans to use his puppets to conquer the world. Only Harry Keogh with his Necroscope powers can return the dead to their resting-places and stop Janos' evil scheme. However Harry still convalesces from his momentous battle with his son that cost him his Necroscope abilities in the process of winning this hollow triumph. Stripped of his powers, Harry knows he must help the dead as he has done in the past, but how to stop a master vampire-black magic practitioner with incredible skills, cunning, and prowess without his own powers seems impossible. Harry's only means of success is selling another piece of his already damaged soul by making a Faustian deal with another undead. Obtaining other allies, Harry leads the charge without pitchforks into the Transylvania castle where the final confrontation between the Necroscope and the master vampire will occur, but the stakes include a certain lady. DEADSPEAK is the hardcover reprint of the fourth tale in Brian Lumley's vampire series. The author provides background information that will help newcomers with the story line, but, though well designed, tyros will be better off reading the first three books before this one. Because of his extraordinary powers Harry Keogh has lived a life that would destroy the minds of most people yet he remains faithful to his responsibilities willing to go into hell for what he deems is a heavenly cause. This particular tale pays homage to Stroker and Le Carre/Fleming as an action-packed espionage horror tale that will please fans of both genres. Harriet Klausner

Rating: Summary: Dark,Savage,Beastily Brutal,To Die For Review: This book #4 of Necroscope is by far one of the best in the series of necroscope novels. Possitvely riveting from begining to end.Blazzing with electricity. The key vampire in this novel is unusually dark. Of course, there all Dark. This book was a fast read for me (someone who's not an avid reader).I blew through this novel. It was gluded to my hand. Anybody who likes thrill rides and horror movies is going to love this book. However; I do not reccomend you read it without reading the first four. you'll be completely lost! Trust me. Forget everything you thought you ever knew about vampires! Brian Lumley will set you striaght. When you finish this read,be sure to read all the rest!

Rating: Summary: great!! Get this book! Review: What can I say? I love horror books and Vampires are my favorite creatures. I usually like stories from the Vampire point of view like in Anne Rice novel and mostly stood clear of the Vampire Hunter stuff. I picked up the first Necroscope book because of the skull on the cover, I'm glad I did! I was totally sucked into the world of the Necroscope, the vampires and the ESP agents. The series is so well written and each character so original to the point where you can't help but want to read more. Unlike Anne Rice's VC which has dragged down to ... over the years Brian Lumley's series continues to get better and better and the characters more and more interesting, not to mention his Vampires are so original and sinister, they take no ... from anyone. There is really nothing I can say but read the series, all of it (which I'm in the middle of doing right now) you will not be disppointed! So if you're sick of feeling like you're being pumped out of your money by vampire authors who don't care what they put paper then buy this book and restore your faith in the genre.
