Rating: Summary: Bad ... vampire novel Review: I for one enjoyed this quite a bit. I had stumbled upon the comics when they first came out(even got a letter published in the last one) and was floored. The depth of history and the staggering medical terminology, combined with well thought-out and amazing characters make a entertaining read. After eagerly awaiting the release of the novel, and waiting, and waiting, I was overjoyed that the author had expanded further upon the story. I can't wait for further novels. Alas, if only Rhian was a character in the Anita Blake universe, what a crossover that would be...
Rating: Summary: wow... Rating: Summary: Review Review: I LOVE this book. The story is not really about vampires but about where people got the concept of vampires. The story is about Ryan. A girl raised as a boy because the people of that time did not treat the women with respect as they do now. Ryan is taken in by Victor & given the gift of immortality. The book goes from when she was born up to present day. Ryan is now a rich & powerful being who must protect a woman & her son because the woman, Dr. Susan Ryerson found out about Ryan & now mortals & immortals alike are after her. Like I said before, I love this book tremendously. I would recommend this book to anyone. It does not matter if you like vampires or not, this story will grab hold of you & not let you go. But do not take my word for it, get the book & find out. A few words that would describe this book is : EXCELLENT, BREATH TAKING, EXCITING, WELL WRITTEN & OF COURSE ENCHANTING!Sincerely, JenJayLynn
Rating: Summary: Incredible! Review: I read an early draft of this book several years ago, having known the author. It was an absolutely incredible read! I am a "junkie" novel reader, probably reading an average of 1000+ pages a week of a wide cross section, Clancey, Anne Rice, Ludlum, etc., and told Kerri at the time, "This is better than anything I've read since, well, forever!!" I was told that the final book was available on ..., and rushed here to buy several copies, one for myself, and others for friends, only to find it unavailable here. Well, I hope that changes, and for anyone reading this review, do what it takes to obtain a copy of this book!

Rating: Summary: So much more than expected at first glance! Review: Outstanding story, interesting characters. Once you discover Rhiannon Alexander, you become so drawn to the character that you can't put it down. The author slowly, deliberately draws out Ryan's story. You find yourself savoring it like fine wine. This looks almost like a cheap self-published novel, Thank goodness Top Cow grabbed this while they could. It has the potential to become a long, very lucrative series.

Rating: Summary: You have GOT to buy this book.. Review: Rarely do I read books anymore.. I know, pretty sad.. but after this story came out in comic book form, I was hooked. Not on a shallow gothic/vampire/blood premise (which you may assume) but on the surprise that it is much deeper than that. Now in novel form, Kerri Hawkins takes a fresh look into a race of beings that draw you into who and what they are from many different angles. The characters are intoxicating! Could not wait to get back to the story.. wow!
Rating: Summary: Eerily, hauntingly great.! Review: This is one of those books that if you pick it up and think "Hey, i might be interested in that" then you should definitely give it a chance. The plot moves quickly and links the past with the present through a fictional race. (For those history buffs out there who also happen to like 'vampires' this is the holy grail of books.) Riann/Ryan makes an intriguing heroine and her interactions with other members of her race keep you reading. Just like other books that introduce a "world" within our world (like the movie Underworld or Harry Potter's wizards), you begin to wonder if what the author describes could possibly be true. Read this if you like dark fantasy, enjoy reading about fictional races coexisting with our, like historical fantasy (or historical references). Don't read if you don't enjoy multple time frames and continuous flashbacks, meandering (though not hard to follow) plot lines. All in all, a fantastic book!
