Summary: pure koontz
Review: This story must rate as one of the the most inspireing of Dean Koontz vast collection . It captures all the atmosphere of the carnival ,and the carnies,in a way that only Dean can.The Goblins come alive in this book and force you to read on to the fantastic conclusion. I really felt that I knew the characters intimately. In my humble opinon this really is a very good read and will leave you wanting more

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is one of my Koontz favorites.
Review: I love the earlier work of Dean Koontz, and this book is one of his very best. The thing I like best about Koontz is his ability to create sympathetic, "doomed" human beings who inadvertently become involved in situations that the normal, everyday person has no knowledge of. The protagonists of this novel are carnies, outcasts who create their own world and find acceptance there. Some of these carnies possess what is called 'twilight eyes', twilight referring to the color of violet. These people can 'see' demons hidden among us, disguised as normal human being. This novel is about the battle between these demons and the people, typically outcasts by social standards, who are cursed with the ability to 'see' them.

There are a lot of thrilling moments in this novel,as well as heartwarming, human moments. Highly recommended.

Summary: SUPERB!!!!!
Review: I have read almost all of Dean Koontz's books, and this, as well as Watchers, was my favorite. I read this book a few years ago and the vividness of the final climatic scene with the goblins remains in my memory as though I read it yesterday. The romance between the two main characters is extremely powerful. The descriptions of their sexual encounters was not meant to offend anyone, but to help us understand their incredible bond. Don't listen to the people who complained about this book!! It was probably just too complex for them. Mr. Koontz- Please write a sequel to this and to Watchers!

Summary: A good book, but definetly not one of Koontz's best
Review: Twilight Eyes was hardly a page turner, or a "go tell all your friends to read it" book, but it was not purely awful at the same time. Twilght Eyes was, to me, a rather boring piece of work from Koontz, and it was not very thrilling. Sure a twisted romance novel like this may intrest a few, but it did nothing for me at all.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Counldn't put it down!
Review: Twilight Eyes is another great book by Dean Koontz. It'll keep ya up all night in suspense worry and excitement. It's a edge of your seat thriller. I recommend it to all book lovers.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Gives you something to think about as it scares you.
Review: Dean Koontz writes a terrifying tale of technology gone wrong. Twilight Eyes is a horror novel that cleverly interweaves science fiction at ever turn. Koontz forces the reader to question whether real-world technology could lead us down a similar path of destruction.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Awsome. Best Koontz since Midnight.
Review: An exciting and frighting story fringing on the border of reality and science fiction. I was glued to every page rooting for our hero to defeat the evil alian creatures who are trying to secretely populate the world and take it over.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Dean Koontz at his very best.
Review: I have read ALL of Dean Koontz books and this has got to be my all time favorite. I loaned the book to my brother (had never read Koontz..was a Stephen King fan) and got him hooked. Have always hoped if Koontz was to write a sequel, it would be to TWILIGHT EYES.

Summary: Good initial idea, but not much else.
Review: This book started out with an interesting idea: disgusting demons disguised in human form walking amongst us. Unfortunately it got much worse from there.

The goblins started out as pretty original monster, but as I read the book, the more I learned about them, the lamer they seemed. Their motives for wanting to kill people seemed especially stupid. Killing just because they like human suffering? Come on! Koontz couldn't do better than that??

There is also WAY too much filler in this book. I could almost see Koontz checking off the page numbers. I agree that the sex is too much. In this book, it isn't enough to say "they made love." No, Koontz goes into the intricate details in order to fill up the pages. I found myself skimming most of the time. It was all I could do to finish the book.

In fact the only thing that kept me reading at the halfway point was my curiosity of how the main characters were going to resolve this huge problem that they faced. Unfortunately this book didn't even deliver in that respect. Sure the characters go on some big adventure, but in the end, nothing was resolved. You are left hanging big time!

A big let down.
