Summary: Original!!
Review: Great book four WWII buffs! Also not the typical whairwolf story.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved it! Where's the movie?
Review: Like many of the reviews I have read, I also cannot recommend this book enough for anyone who likes: Charcter driven stories with action; action stories with character; war stories; horror stories; love stories; just plain good writing! The detail in the descriptions was minute without being overbearing. McMannon made a legendary beast seem more like a real human than many humas I know! I also agree with the call to Hollywood--Where's the movie?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Captivating. I put myself right there with Michael Gallitan
Review: I've read many horror books, but this book about the life of a Lycanthorpe held me until the end. There is a lesson of life in the writings not only for Michael, but for readers alike, weather we are beast, mortal or immortal. His life was hard, but true. I applaud Robert McCammon. A continuation book may be necessary. The rest of Michael's life needs to be spoken. Authors are hard to come by, but I believe Robert has his the nail on the head.

Summary: this is not a drive-thru read!!!
Review: Robert McCammon writes a wonderful read. This is not your drive thru book. it is a definded story with wonderfully developed characters. This is a book you can get lost in. enjoy!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Action, intrigue, romance, horror, etc! It's in there!!!
Review: What more can be said about this book. The truly bad part is that it hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves. This book has action, intrigue, nazis, horror, werewolves, romance, and a very humanistic side. I have re-read this one 3 times. I cannot talk about or reccomend it enough!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I hope it becomes a movie!
Review: The myth and mystery of werewolves has always fascinated me.
McCammon takes it to a new and provacative level: sexy man becomes wolf and uses his powers to vanguish the evils of Nazi Germany.
This man/beast protagonist is presented as a super hero of WWII.
After I read this book, Jack Nicholson's werewolf movie was released but did not live up to McCammons well written adventure.
Where is Hollywood on the making of this extraordinary book?

Summary: If only I could get this book in Hardcover
Review: I read a lot. magazines, novels, non-fiction. However, books have never kept me away from playing a game, or watching a favorite TV show... until I read "The Wolf's Hour". Completely engrossing, like no book I've ever read before, I could not put it down until after having read it through twice. Mr. McCammon is descriptive, creative, and beyond reproach in his writing. He has an extraordinary talent for presenting characters that are altogether REAL... it's hard not to develop a complete picture of even the most minor of his characters in your mind. I saw and felt everything that happened to Michael/Mikhail Gallatin (the protagonist). To this day my heart races when I think of scenes and passages from The Wolf's Hour. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Summary: A work of pure genius...
Review: C'mon, Robert!! It's been 1992 since your last book!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Glorious!
Review: James Bond in wolf's clothing? This is it...Read it

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Incredible enough to look up on the net!
Review: When I browsed the Amazon page and tried a search by title, The Wolf's Hour immediately came to mind. This tale enthralled and influenced me in a way only one other could - The Vampire Lestat. I truly felt the deep feelings of gloom, horror, sorrow, and excitement that each conveyed. The British Secret Service agent's adventures through Natzi Germany are gripping, and very unique from other such stories because of his special 'gift'. The best parts of the book, by far, are the occasional trips back into the cold, dark wilderness of Russia from which he arose. The story of how he came to be is even more spell-binding than that of Anne Rice's Lestat! The most incredible tale you will ever read.
