Rating: Summary: Author's Disappearance is Biggest Mystery Review: From time to time, I recheck "Books in Print" and peruse the mystery/horror sections hoping to learn that McCammon has written again. What happened to this extraordinary storyteller? He hasn't published in years. Is he still alive or like Poe, did he succumb to his innner demons?McCammon is one of my two favorite fantasy writers, the other being the long out-of-print A. Merritt, whose timeless science fantasies -- in the tradition of H. Rider Haggard's "She" (twice made into movies, first with Helen Gahagan Douglas, better known as the Congresswoman who was defeated by the young Richard Nixon, and later by Ursula Andress) -- were written more than 60 years ago and include "Seven Footprints to Satan" and "The Moon Pool." Since Amazon.com does not have an "about the author" section, if anyone knows of McCammon's whereabouts or status, perhaps you can post it here?

I am only 15, and i wass so into this great book it took only a week and a half to read it.(reading all day and into the night)
Rating: Summary: A tremendously satisfying read!! Review: This is an outstanding novel that covers many genres, from werewolf fantasy to romance to WWII spy games. It has an unusally complex protaganist, complimented by several strong and well written secondary characters, and the Nazi evil isn't as vivid anywhere outside of Schindler's List. It is a sweeping saga of boy who lost his innocence at a young age and the man he grew up to be, while always carrying the gift/burden of being a lycanthrope. The premise to this novel does it no justice...you must read it for yourself to beleive it. McCammon's best ever!
Rating: Summary: The BEST EVER Werewolf book, would make a killer movie. Review: This book was not high on my list,I passed it on the shelves at the store a great many times. It was a W.W.II Werewolf story not to inticing, until there was nothing that suited my taste left on the shelves and I thought well I read his others and they were good I'll give it a try. Glad I did. Micheal the werewolf, very sexy character! But the whole idea behind the transformation was so well thought out and more in keeping w/thoughts on lycanthropy. It wasn't you get bit,you grow hair and bite people,it was a very moving story. About a man who was using his ability to change to serve his government as a spy. Move over James Bond there's a new spy in town and you'll never be able to do what he can do....

Rating: Summary: My favorite all time book Review: I was one of the many people that just keep passing this book by based on the back cover. It just sounded way to corny, but i finally ran out of other things to read so i gave it a try. i don't even know what to say. i really liked the how he became a werewolf part. i made all my friends and family read and they all like it almost as much as me. i have since reread it and found it just as good the second time through, now iam wanting to read it again. if you haven't read this book GET IT!
Rating: Summary: entertaining and fun reading Review: i was skeptical of this story's premise thinking it being too much fantasy for my liking. i was happily surprised again by the authors's well crafted story and characters. i recommend this book for an enjoyable read.
Rating: Summary: A must for all readers Review: i thought this book was very well done. It really made u feel that u were right there with the main character.
Rating: Summary: Awesome-I wanted to be a wolf. Review: I've read Swan Song (loved it), Mine (my favorite), but Wolf's Hour is the absolute best. I first had the book loaned to me, read it, lost it. Bought it for my friend to return it and she lost it. Can't find it anywhere around here. I've read it twice. Anyone else think it's sexy?
Rating: Summary: Totally different concept re: Werewolves Review: First book I read by this author. Liked his writing style so much, Proceeded to read everything else I could find. Enjoyed the setting of ww2, the part on how they became werewolves, and it was a great love story too.
