Summary: Just 'cause it's ANGEL doesn't make it good.
Review: Despite my high hopes for this book, I was very disappointed in the actual reading of it. I'm a big ANGEL and BUFFY fan, and I've read most of the novels; some of them have been pretty shoddy, but this one takes the cake. The writing is awful and completely disjointed; Angel's flashbacks are thrown in like a very badly placed afterthought, and Holder obviously wasn't able to spend enough time with this book. It's easily one of the worst novels I've ever read, in any genre, and puts the actual "City Of" episode to shame.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good book, especially for newcomers!
Review: I enjoyed this book, especially because I had only started watching Buffy a year ago and missed much of Angel's history. Intermixed with the novelization of "City Of" is flashbacks to Angel's past that fills a lot of gaps for newcomers. Unfortunately, the flashbacks may be distracting for die-hard Buffy fans. Good book, I read it in two days!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good quick read for Buffy and Angel fans.
Review: I love this book so much I've already read it twice. Basically it's a novelization of the first Angel episode, with some flashbacks from Buffy episodes and Angel's past as a vampire mixed in. I reccommend this book to all fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Read
Review: I loved how the book explored Angels past more in depth and how you really got Angels perspective on things.A must read for any fans of Angel and Buffy.

Summary: Angel - City of
Review: I really liked the book. The book is not hard to read even though if you don't speak english very well. It explains Angel's past to persons who are not familiar with him,and it also shows how he got where he is. It's actualy a lot alike to fist Angel episode but it has falshbacks from Angel's past. Angel and Buffy fans should definitly read it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great book for fans of Angel and Buffy.
Review: I reccomend this book to all fans of Angel and Buffy. I thought it was very well written and I really liked the flashbacks about Angel's past 250 years.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: love to brood, love to read, love this book!
Review: I thought that this book displayed a lot of Angel's history. Although it droned on at parts, on the whole it was an excellent choice. I thought that the character portrayal was amazing and for a book about a spin-off soap-opera it really cleared up quite a bit about the whole lose/gain soul puzzle. I tend to lean more towards the books dramatic history coverage as the best part of the book.

Summary: Angel: City Of (Angel no. 1)
Review: I throughly enjoyed reading this book! Basically just a novelization of the first episode, it gives great insight into what the characters are thinking during the show. Being a die-hard Buffy fan myself it really helped me understand Angel's show better. Another shining star from Nancy Holder! And a must for Angel fans!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Simply put = its amazing!
Review: I was a big fan of the Buffy/Angel love story and I kind of fell away from both shows when they split up my fave star-crossed couple since Vincent and Catherine (Beauty and the Beast the TV show). I basically stopped watching, sadly. I missed so much and will have to buy the DVDs at some point.

But I digress this is a novelization of the first episode of ANGEL and I loved it. It detailed the past of Angel or Angelus. It was well-written and simply yet convincingly written. I highly recommend it for those of you who miss the TV show.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Angel 4-EVER
Review: If there was a 10 star review, I'd pick that. This book is a wonderful follow-up to the first episode. It's one of my favorite books now, hehe:) Angel is one of the best shows on prime-time T.V. this year. David Boreanaz is the perfect actor to be playing this sort of character(Angel). This show and the book are just da bomb!
