Rating: Summary: One of the Best R. L. Stine books! Review: This book is amazing! It's about a girl named Jenny. She just got a baby-sitting job for a cute little boy named Donny. There have been baby-sitter attacks all over town but she takes the job anyway. Then one night(while she's at Donny's house)she gets a phone call. A whispered voice says " Hi Babes. Are you all alone in that big house? Don't worry, company's coming". It all goes down hill from there. She hears noises, feels fear and still gets more phone calls from a whispered voice on a phone. Everything is going wrong now. Then a creepy person from next door is found in the yard. What next? Then she finds out who it is but it's too late. In the end someone gets pushed over the edge(literally). This is one of the scariest but yet enjoyable books I've ever read. Read it today! I also recommend these books: The Baby-Sitter II, The Baby-Sitter III and The Baby-Sitter IV.
Rating: Summary: Interesting Book Review: When Jenny acceptsthe Hagen baby-sitting job she knows it's a mistake. The house is too far, too dark, and too spooky. The Hagens are very weird. Especially Mr. Hagen. He's too nervous. And with the recent baby-sitter attacks, it's not a good idea to be in this particular field. But when Jenny starts getting threatening phone calls and then a threatening note, she knows she's in trouble. But who's threatening her? Is it her boyfriend Chuck? Or someone who's not playing a prank. This is a very interesting read, and a must have for anyone who baby-sits. A word of wisdom from a baby-sitter, don't read this after you've put the kids to bed.
Rating: Summary: Worst book ever written by Stine. Review: Stine used to be my favorite author a couple years ago when I was very young, but I grew out of his books when I started getting older. I figured, "well, Stines writing stuff for teens, I'm a teen, I might as well read one" So I picked up a paperback edition of the babysitter. Oh...it's awful. Words cannot describe how bad it was, and the only reason that I read the whole thing was the fact that I had to, cuz I assigned it for a book report. I read the whole thing, and...let me tell you all the bads. It's slow. Nothing happens at all, except for a few phone calls and a bunch of teens who are the main characters. Once again, it's predictable. It offers minimal excitement, as to the fact that it is incredibly boring. No events that are good, no suspense, and worst of all, no real flavor to the book. It was just straight out dry, one hundred percent of it. The book really leads to nowhere in the end. I could see that Stine was trying his best to make the end look surprising, but this book was about exciting as a peice of paper. Sorry. It't just awful. If you wanna go read a real good author who puts good twists in his books, read Christopher Pike.

Rating: Summary: The Killer Is Back! Review: A great book! Jenny Jeffers babysits Donny Hagen but she thinks the house is very creepy. Jenny is doing great until the phone rings. She hears a dry and raspy voice say "Hey babe, company's coming". She thinks it is just someone fooling around with her, until she finds out no one that she knows is making the calls. Or does she now the killer? Yes! She knows it very well! Read this book! I recommend getting Volume 1 through 4 because you get so addicted to the books. Of course, I dont wanna give away the ending!
Rating: Summary: Mr.Stine done it again! Review: This is one of the good book from R.L. Stine. Jenny Jeffers babysit Donny Hagen, 10 year-old boy. Jenny thought the Hagens house was creepy. The paint outside were chipped. It look if nobody were live in there for decades or even centuries. But that not the horror part! Jenny recieves several creepy phone calls. The message always were:"Are you all alone, babes?" or "Want company, babes?". Jenny thought that it was her new comedian boyfriend, Chuck Quinn, who just moved here. Then she discovered something that almost kill her for good. The crazy, psychotic killer is after all the babysitter in town. And Jenny happen to be one of them. Will the killer get her before she can even protect herself from him?
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Entertaining and Fun Review: Even though this book is suppose to be for "teens" or "pre-teens", it doesn't matter if you're an adult, you'll enjoy it anyway. It is so good, it is hard to put down. It has an unexpected twist at the end. It is one of those books that you can curl up with and simply enjoy! I definitely recommend it, and all 4 of "The Babysitter" books, but read them in order, they're better that way. They'll make you fall in love with R.L. Stine books, and everybody deserves good entertainment like this at some time or another. So go read them and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: I thought that the Baby-Sitter was good. Anywho, Jenny gets prank calls and it turns out that Mr. Hagen, the dad who is giving her the money to baby sit Donny, is such a nervous wrek! He worrys so much. And she has a very nosy neighbor. Then, she continues to get prak calls: Hi babes, Companys coming. So she gets really freaked out. It's really good. I would recommend it.
