Summary: Fourth Book in the Cutler Family Series
Review: "Midnight Whispers" begins with Christie Longchamp's (the protagonist) Sweet Sixteen birthday party. Shortly after it, her parents (Dawn and Jimmy) tragically die in a house fire that destroys part of Cutler's Cove Hotel. Christie and her 12-year-old brother (Jefferson) are then "adopted" by Uncle Philip and his family; but after Uncle Philip rapes her, Christie runs away with Jefferson to New York City, in the hopes her real father (Michael Sutton) will be a better-suited guardian--which he's not.

Gavin Longchamp (Christie's forbidden love and "stepuncle") then enters the picture, joining Christie and Jefferson in a trip to The Meadows that's similar to the one Dawn made in "Secrets of the Morning," except Christie isn't pregnant--well, not yet anyway, but after what happens between her and Gavin at the old Virginia plantation, it shouldn't take too long before she is.

I rarely, if ever, like the third generation of heroines in V. C. Andrews books (like Annie Stonewall in "Gates of Paradise"), and Christie Longchamp is no exception. She's spoiled, immature, and weak. Giving this book a "4" rating is rather generous on my part, but since it's been eons since I've read this book--and I don't remember my initial reaction to it--I decided to give "Midnight Whispers" a "4." Thankfully, this is the only book told from Christie's p.o.v.; "Darkest Hour," the next and last book in this series, follows the life of Grandmother Cutler.

Summary: Very good!
Review: At first I was a little disappointed that this story wouldn't be told in Dawn's perespective but I did become very ataached to Christie. This was a very sood sequel to the other three books. The Cutler series is amazing. I can't wait to read The Darkest Houur and find out how the Cutler family got such a curse laid down on them. If you are intrested in this book at all be sure to read Dawn, Secrets of the Morning, and Twilight's Child first so it will make sense!

Summary: A Wonderful Book
Review: I absolutely loved this book. Christie is definnetly one of my favorite characters. When Dawn and Jimmy died I felt absolutely terrible! They were such great people and I felt horrible for Christie and Jefferson and what they went throught living with Uncle Phillip and Aunt Bet. I was so happy when in the end they went to live with Bronson, who I think they should of been living with from the start. He is a great man and they will be very happy with him. I think Gavin and Christie's little romance is sweet although it does seem a little like incest. I mean technically Gavin is Christie's step-uncle. I would like to hear more about them but unfortunately this is the last book about them.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Beautiful and Intruiging Story
Review: I completely loved this book! The characters are so unique and interesting, and although there is a lot of heartbreak and sadness, Christie manages to find love with gentle Gavin. I thought this was a beautiful love story as well as a story wrought with suspense and incredible predicaments.I definately recommend this book to everyone who loves a good story with a little bit of everything

Summary: one of my favorites
Review: i have to say ive read the cutler seris the doll seris and now im reading the casteel seris the cutler seris is my favorite so far and this book is my favorite by far but isnt it kind of preverted that christie makes out with her step uncle? i mean that isnt as bad as philip and dawn but still well im not going to be one of the those reviewers who tells you everything because then it ruins the book. i think whoever writes these since V.C Andrews is dead shouldnt just stop a seris like that i want to know what happens with christie and gavin and if things get better for christie and jefferson at home same thing with the doll seris but thats for another reveiw

Summary: Midnight Whispers is so touching!
Review: I really love V.C. Andrews books!! In this book I cried so much when they died, and it was almost so I could kill her cousins for being so insensitive!! It is one of the best books I ever read! As good as Virginia Andrews other books!!!!
