Rating: Summary: NOT Your Typical Vampire Story Review: When I read the back cover of this book at a book sale I thought, hey I should try reading this. What I expected was a bunch of killer vampires running around drinking blood- un-uh, not at all. Kerry, a sixteen-year-old girl, who is dealing with normal teenage problems -including her mother leaving- goes to a laudry mat at 11:00 at night. There she helps rescue a young man named Ethan Bryne, from men who she thinks are crazy. I mean they believe in vampires! But as the story unfolds, and Kerry's dad and brother are kidnapped she finds out that Ethan is a vampire and that he may be the only one who can help her. The story includes, love, mystery and everything else that makes a good book. Your views on vampires may totally change and you may even envy Ethan and Kerry, companions of the night. And I also did something with this book that I only do with books that become my favorites- I cried at the end.
Rating: Summary: Real good teenage vampire story Review: What can I say about a book that I've throughly fallen in love with. I love vampire books and picked this one up expecting it to be okay but not great. I instantly loved it as Kerry is thrown into an adventure with the mysterious Ethan after her younger brother leaves his beloved stuffed animal at a 24hour laundry mat. Books like this make young adults want to continue to read. I have enjoyed reading it over and over.
Rating: Summary: Undescribable Review: This book is not describable. I mena its awesome. you just can't put it down!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Review: This is the best book I have ever read! I've probably read it at least 5 times and everytime I read it in one day, when it ends I am always wanting more! If someone doesn't make this into a movie soon I will. There also has to be a sequel, please! The characters are so real, you feel like you know them, the plot is very engaging and you can't put this book down. The only bad thing is I can never find another vampire book that's half as good! You have to read this book!
Rating: Summary: Far above average for a teen vampire story Review: Though I read this book several years ago it has always stuck with me. For the place I was in as a teenage reader - fascinated by the dark but still wholeheartedly romantic, sick of RL Stine but not yet having made the jump to Umberto Eco, (and very much aware of sex and violence already, thank you anyway ms. teacher) it was just what the doctor ordered. I feel that I can wholeheartedly recommend this book to all teens and many adults as well who have any interest in vampiric subject matter.
Rating: Summary: I cant explain how good this book is... Review: This book, i couldnt put it down. It is my all time favorite book. IT IS SO AWSOME! If you dont get it, your crazy. Its just wonderfull, wonderfull.
Rating: Summary: You'll love sinking your teeth into this book! Review: Pun intended, but this book was great! I spent two days on the edge of my seat ( bed, as the case may be) reading every word with excitement. I mean, it's hard to find a unique vampire book, but this one has a strange twist. Me being a very strong cult lover and follower, I just found this to be a must- have for any young cult reader! I'm ready to dig into a sequel, so I hope to see one soon. The love, strangeness, the journey, and the thought wavering just mezmorized me. Don't listen to me, go buy it!
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK! Review: When Kerri finds her family gone, she has no choice to become Ethan's hostage. Ethen also happens to be a vampire. Will Kerri find her family? Or will she become a vampire courtasy of Ethan' own fangs? If you miss this book you will regret it!
Rating: Summary: Byron-Like Vampire Review: This is an interesting book for teenagers and about them. Though it does have a bit of blood and stuff, there is nothing that a mature teenager can't handle. I read it when I was a freshman in high school and I loved it! Read other of Vivian Vande Velde's books. They're all great!
Rating: Summary: WE WANT A SEQUEL! Review: This story is great I know all of these reviews are saying that. But I'm not kidding once I got into it I couldn't put it down Vivian Vande Velde makes the characters come to life! It's mysterious funny, romantic, dramatic, and exciting all in one. All I can say is that this book is realistic it makes you really beleive that these things may have happened (at least it did that to me). This book is a must read and I have one thing to say to Vivian Vande Velde WE WANT A SEQUEL!
