Rating: Summary: Pleasing and interesting Review: This is a must read for anyone who loves vampires or even a simple forbidden romance story. Who can resist a suspenseful book where the heroine is falling in love with a stranger who could kill her as well as love her. This isn't just a romance story though, it has action and even poignant parts that make your heart go out to Kari. And so I recommend this book to just about anyone because it's an easy enough read for most to understand and the story is complex enough to entertain an adult.
Rating: Summary: This book was wonderful!!!!!! Review: I thought this book was wonderfully wonderful. It is about a girl named Kerry, who saves a somebody named Ethan from people who claim that he is a vampire. Thinking that she has ran into rival gangs, or grade A crazies, of course she saves him. It is a great book that is very intricately written, with the right amount of adventure, mystery, and a touch of romance, it is a great book for anybody who loves vampire lore with some romance mixed in, this is the best book for you!!
Rating: Summary: Fun . . . Review: This was a great feel-good book for young adults. I recommend it to almost any teenager, even one who's not interested in vampires. This novel takes a different spin on what a vampire is, such as hair that quickly grows to the length it was when the person was changed, depsite daily trims. This was cute, lighthearted, and even a bit romantic.
Rating: Summary: Suspensiful book sure to be a clasic! Review: If you love horror love stories this book is for you! I` loved this book it is one of those books where you cant put it down. The book has no true ending so i am hoping there will be a sequel to it. Ethan is a vampire and Carrie has saved his life and fell in love with him! What happens, will there love make it, who knows? You need to read this exciting tale to find out! You wont regret it! It is sure to be your favorite book after you read it! Not a dull moment in it! It starts out with a bang and ends that way too. This book in my opinion is sure over the next few years to become a classic!
Rating: Summary: Pleasing read plus excitement! Review: The book is fast paced, a good thing since I couldn't put it down to do anything. The book has a few flaws if your the person who wants the normal happy ending or really loves vampires. Mainly this concerns the ending of the novel which made me wish I hadn't read it, but a good book no matter the ending is hard to forget when it makes you feel for the characters. So with that I would encourage everyone to read it for the ultimately sad yet probably more truthful to humanity story it holds.
Rating: Summary: How to start loving vampires. Review: If you want a easy transition into the world of the undead then this book is for you. This book is one of the first vampire books I had ever read and now I wish I could be one. With some exception, this book is very straight forward and if you like vampires just alittle bit other parts of this book will interest you as well. I couldn't put it down when I first got it and now I have to get the hardcover book just as a collectors item for myself. If you love vampires then you will agree with me.
Rating: Summary: Love The Undead Review: This was the first novel that I had read of Vivian's and I really enjoyed it. I'm 19 and was a little unsure of it at first. The story keeps at a fast pace, and although there are a few slower parts, it's worth it in the end. Trust me, you fall in love with Toby's attitude.
Rating: Summary: i loved the suspense Review: This book always kept me on my toes always woundring would he do it or why he was so quiet. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a book full of mystery and suspense YOU JUST CAN'T PUT DOWN. Just like the character Kerry in Companions of the Night i have many questions aswell to ask Ethan or is it Michel his real name.
Rating: Summary: Incredible Review: When my friend told me about COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT and how it was one of her all-time favorite books, I wasn't that interested. But I ended up reading it anyway, and I'm SO GLAD I DID! It has become one of my top five favorite books, and I want to thank her for telling me about it!!! COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT is about vampire(s), but it isn't your average vampire story; things are a bit different, and he isn't your classic, evil, garlic-fearing vampire. And the more the story goes on, you begin to like him more and more. The story begins with Kerry Nowicki going to the Laundry to pick up her brother's bear, and walks into what looks like a gang war gone crazy; accusing "poor Ethan" as a vampire. Believing that this group of people are just Grade-A crazies, she helps Ethan escape, but that isn't the end of their "aqauintance". She discovers that he is, indeed, a vampire, and helping him is her closest chance of survival, but the odds are about 100 to 1. And the story goes on, with humor (LOTS of it!) and lots of surprises. Once you get started, you'll become incredible wrapped up in it, making you keep on reading until the end, and, if you're like me, than you might start to become interested in Vampire books, more if you already were, or start you out if you weren't. I also became fascinated with Vivian Vande Velde, and since have enjoyed every other book that I've read by her. I advise this book to anyone looking for a book to read, and I advise Vivian's other books A WELL-TIMED ENCHANTMENT and DRAGON'S BAIT, which were (besides COMPANIONS) my favorites. I hope anyone else who reads this book will love it as much as I do!
Rating: Summary: the best book ever written involving vampires and romance Review: Vivian Vande Velde is AWESOME! while i was reading this book i laughed and i cryed. COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT involved a young girl named Kerry who was just a plain oridinary girl who got herself involved in a bad yet life changing experience. kerry helps out a young handsom boy who turns out to be a VAMPIRE. kerry is scared at times when ethan(the vampire) looses his head and trys to attck her but what kerry doesnt relize is that hes suducing her. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!
