Summary: ...
Review: This book proves vampires are very very sexy. I just reread this book yesterday and it's as good as ever. I only wish Kerry hadn't been reluctant about... the issue at the end. I do hope Vivian Vande Velde is in the process of writing a sequel but I won't get my hopes up.

Summary: My input.
Review: This is a very good book. I think that there should be a sequel. Below is a little summary about the book.

Kerry had a simple task. Get into her father's car without him knowing about it & go & retrieve her little brother's teddy bear at a laurndry mat in the middle of the night. Well, a simple task is anything but as she is about to witness a murder.

Some people say that Ethan is a vampire & they are about to excute him. Thinking that these people are a few french fries short of a happy meal, Kerry decides to help poor Ethan. However she learns that those people are anything but crazy & now she must work w/ Ethan to get her now kidnapped father & brother back from people who want Ethan, the vampire. Will she succeed in getting to her father & brother in time?

Buy the book & find out. :)

Sincerely,
JenJayLynn

Summary: Easy to read in one sitting
Review: It is easy to see why this book is an award winner. Right from the beginning Kerry, the teen antagonist, is thrown into the realm of not one, but two vampires. When she rescues Ethan from three ruthless men who claim he is a vampire...she does not believe in vampires. She is soon shocked by the hatred generated by a mysterious man who kidnaps her family because he believes Kerry is a vampire as well. Kerry can only trust Ethan, vampire or not. The reader is often as unsure as Kerry when unexpected events unfold. This novel contains suspense, romance, and violence.

Summary: Still an excellent story
Review: Somewhere in the archives of reviews for this book is one I wrote with my best freind 5 years ago. After all this time I still enjoy reading "Companions of the Night" even though I'm not really obsessed with vampire stories. I think this is because of Vivian Vande Velde's writing which is realistic poingant and above all captivating. She knows how to bring a story to life.

As for a possible sequel I think VVV kept the ending open for the reader's imagination not to write a second story. Also the more I think about it, (and well the older I get) I tend to think that Kerry and Ethan would not work out on account of the fact that he's a cold, callous manipulativ [person]

Summary: Can you trust a Vampire? Of course. . . not!!
Review: This book is about a girl named Kerry. Every-day, ordinary girl. Just going to the landry mat to get her li'l bros bear. In the middle of the night. Driving alone. With only a learners permit!
Am I off to a great start or what! This girl, Kerry, age 16, is going to the landry mat because her little brother,, Ian, left his teddy there. Sure, to her it's kinda creepy going to a 24-hour, collage town landry mat just praying that the police don't come ask her for the lisence that she doesn't yet have. But her brother couldn't go to bed withot the dang thing and she HAS to get a bear. Scared? She didn't know what 'scared' ment!! Not until she got there!
She goes there to meet a boy named Ethan who seems ordinary enough who is captured by wanna-be Vamp hunters!! He says he's not a vampire that he never even knew what was coming! But soon Kerry finds out that what he says is not true and that he is not ment to be trusted. She ends up goin' on a wild goose chase and the book keeps you on the edge of your seet!!Like your there. Don't let my crumm writing skills keep you away from Veldes magnificent ones, because there is no better books then this! Yep! This book's about as good as it gets!

Summary: Very Griping!!
Review: Wow, I can't believe it...I could not put this book down. It's so incredibly exciting to read about how Kerry and Ethan's relationship molds. The author depicts the vampire world wonderfully, making me wish vampires were real.
This story is actually very believable too. Kerry is such a common teenager: unsure of herself, gullable, and hopelessly in love.
Ah, and the ending...what an ending to end the book with!! I could read it over and over again and never get tired of it.
It's just so sweet.
This deserves 5 STARS!

Summary: Yesyesyes!
Review: Wow! This book was so incredible. I admit that the description on the jacket threw me off a little, but the deeper I read, the more hooked I became. I must say that Ethan's mysteriousness was INCREDIBLY sexy. Anyway, a girl named Kerry goes to a laundromat to retrieve her little brother's stuffed bear, and finds herself in the middle of a murder. She saves the victim, Ethan, said by the assassins to be a vamire. The next day, her family is kidnapped by an insane vampire slayer, who believes he's on a mission from God. Kerry enlists the help of Ethan, and soon discovers that, indeed, he is a vampire. They spend the rest of the book tracking down the vampire slayer, and it all ends in a spectacular encounter. If suspense, drama, and romance is what you are looking for, you'll inevitably find it in this marvelous book by Vivian Vande Velde.
