Review: This is the first book I have read by Vivian Vande Velde, and I absolutely loved it. I wish there was a sequel so I could find out what happened to Ethan and Kerry. I really hoped she would get together with Ethan. I really am looking forward to reading more of her books!

Review: That's what I'd say to Ethan (aka Michel) the wonderful vampire protagonist of Companions of the Night. I read only vampire fiction and having read hundreds, can truly say this is one of my most beloved. My only regret is that I polished it off too quickly! P.S. this book would make an excellent movie - any takers out there?

Review: Companions of the Night is a tremendeously well written book. You will regret reading it before another vampiric novel, because it makes every other novel seem smaller, and horribly written. I read Companions of the Night, and then started The Silver Kiss, i was disgusted by the silver kiss book. Vivian Vande Velde describes things beautifully, but leaves mystery in it. Almost nothing comes close to this book. It will haunt you long after you read it, and I hope that there will be a sequel coming soon! It is on my list of favorite books along with: Garth Nix's-Sabriel and Shade's Children. I would reccomend Companions of the Night to anyone. The book kept me up all night, and I hope it will have the same effect on other people.
