Rating: Summary: Not very scary. Review: It seems that every other book in the Resident Evil book series is not very good. And this is one of them. I could understand the other ones not being to great because they are not based on the games, but this one is. I was a little shocked that I wasnt shaking in my bed. Read it just to keep you posted as to what is going on in the series, but not to be scared.

Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST NOVELS! Review: OH MY GOSH! This Resident Evil book is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat! When I began reading it, i didn't know what i was getting myself into... IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT IT DOWN!! The plot of the story is: Claire Redfield, a young college student, is looking for her brother, Chris Redfield. After her time in Raccoon City, she thought she would never have to come across something like that again... However, after getting taken to Rockfort, an island, and her nightmare becomes once again reality. Zombies are roaming the island, as well as hunters (the creatures), bandersnatches, and of course... THE DOGS! She comes across new friends such as Steve, and new enemies such as the Ashford twins, Alfred and Alexia. Will she make it out alive? Well, i won't ruin it for you... if you want to know more about it... read the book... I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!
Rating: Summary: Resident Evil: Code Veronica Review: Resident Evil: Code Veronica by S. D. Perry Plot: While searching for her brother, Chris, Claire Redfield breaks into Umbrella HQ, gets captured, then becomes a prisoner on Rockfort island. The island is attacked and the T-virus is unleashed causing numerous people to turn into zombies. There are also some mutants on this island. Claire meets up with another prisoner named Steve Burnside. Together, they must not only survive, but find a way off the island. However, there is a far greater evil waiting for them even if they make it off the island... Alexia. As far as I know this is the last book of six, and it is the best! The plot is awesome, as is the action. The personalities of the characters are very well developed, as are there reactions to each situation. I give this book 5 star.
Rating: Summary: Amazing. Review: S.D. Perry is definately my favorite author as of now. I picked up the first RE book a while ago, and since then i have read them all, after beating all the games. The Author does a GREAT job putting it into book form, while still keeping the reader in totaly suspence. This book in perticular allows you to really know what every character is thinking after playing the game, and is really amazing. i couldn't put it down, i reccomend this book to everyone. (...)
Rating: Summary: One of the best books in the series Review: S.D. Perry's novelizations of the Resident Evil video game series have been excellent mostly, and this volume in the series is no exception. Code: Veronica, the sixth book in the series, is based from the video game of the same name which you can find on the Dreamcast and PS2 game systems. Perry adds so much more to the story and characters than the writers of the game's storyline ever could; the suspense and shocks make it a page turner and you genuinely care for the heroes. The story starts as Claire Redfield (one of the survivors of City of the Dead, the third book in the series and the second game in the video game series) is captured by Umbrella and sent to an uncharted island where she is kept prisoner until, as luck in the Resident Evil universe would have it, all hell breaks loose and zombies and monsters are abound. Eventually she meets up with another prisoner, Steve Burnside, and the two become allies trying to escape, all the while Claire's brother Chris is on her trail to save her. The relationship between Claire and Steve is compelling, as is the sense of urgency that is at an all time high here. While I think some parts of the ending get more and more unbelieveable, Perry's novelization remains faithful to the game it is based on, and if you've never played the game you'll want to after reading this. All in all, Code: Veronica is one of the best in the series (books and games respectively), and if your a fan of anything Resident Evil then you have no reason not to read this.
Rating: Summary: Ashford Rulez Review: The best read I've had in a long time. It gives an incredible new look to the insane Alfred Ashford (who was my fav char in CV, might I add) and this book shows his insanity in a new light! Keep 'em coming, Perry!
Rating: Summary: The best Scenice Fiction Novel I ever Read! Review: The only Resident Evil game I played was Two, but after I read this, I knew what the game was about, I had also read Underworld (4) and Nemisis (5) and I like to say I'm a true fan of this seris. In this one Claire is caught by Unbrella and brought to a far- away island called Rockford and meet's a prosoner called Steve Burnside who's kind of a bigger verison of Shreey Birkin. But this a great book and what I heard it doesn't quiet fallow the game but who care's? It's pretty damn close.
Rating: Summary: Good, but Not the Best of the Books. Review: This book disappointed me because of how briefly the Chris Redfield part of the story was handled. The bulk of the game is about Claire, but I had hoped the author would embelish Chris's journey more. It's so brief, it's very forgetable. There is bearly any tension, development, or conflict.SD Perry once again tells the story from the points of view of all the major characters. We learn much more about the Asford twins that the game reveals. But Chris and Wesker were poorly under-developed. Perry probably wrote this story before the PS2 expansion game, "Resident Evil Code: Veronica X." Perhaps if the book could have been based on the V-X game, things would have been better. Don't listen to folks that complain about the "lack of scariness" in the story. These books are made for Res. Evil fans. If you're reading the books, you've probably payed the games. If you've played the games, you know what will happen in the story. I read the books to learn more about the characters, not for the fear. Which is why I was so disappointed with the story's ending. I've written a review for the other 5 Resident Evil books. I recommend all the books for Res. Evil fans. I just feel this book, wasn't the best.
Rating: Summary: A thoroughly entertaning read, with a few minor flaws Review: This book is in my estimate second only to City of the Dead in the series. First off I'd like to inform others that I read this book in less than 24 hours, my record for the shortest time I've ever read a book. This is a very fast paced and entertaining book! One of the best features of the book was its logical explanations of nearly every occurence in the game and even moreso. In addition, the humor thrown in added a nice and genuinely funny touch. A reason I enjoy the series so much is that it throws out the B-movie-star-voiced-over stereotype characters from the games and brings them to life, displaying their full emotions and with problems and reactions a lot of people can relate to. That factor is also present here. One thing that disappointed me was the lack of description during some of the game's most exciting moments, such as Claire's first encounter with the Bandersnatch. Also, some of the plot in the book is confusing if you haven't played or don't own the game. This book is best experienced in culmination with the game, but also an excellent read by itself. Highly recommended!!!
