Rating: Summary: The Mask Review: As for most of Mr Kootz's book it grabbed my interest from the first and made me want to stay with it until the end. What stuck out the most was that the main characters, Carol and Paul, my name and my "friend"s and I live in the Harrisburg area and he is from Shippensburg, the other town mentioned. Almost as eerie as Dean!
Rating: Summary: He has written better Review: Average book, not up to par with his recent work. For serios fans who want to read all his books
Rating: Summary: It will keep you hooked to the chilling end! Review: From all the books i have read so far, I think none of them can come close to this magnificent piece of story telling. The mask is about reincarnation, and without giving too much of the story away, an ancient rivalry that goes back through the years. Very chilling and well written and as always, Koontz uses his knowledge of the real world to make the story stand out.
Rating: Summary: What happened to Mr. Dean Koontz Review: I am really dissapointed by this book. Sadly, I must say that I read through it as quickly as I could and did not find it too interresting. The story as it is could make a good book. This time, however, Koontz probablt had a week to write it or someting because not only is this book predictable but it also has no closure. He can do better. I hope he will with all his other books.
Rating: Summary: WHAT IS WRONG WITH U PEOPLE 2, 3 1/2 STARS Review: I don't know what some of the people who reviewed this book read? 1 or 2-stars? Granted, it wasn't DK's BEST book, but it was still an enjoyable read about REINCARNATION? Who expects a horror novel (okay maybe it's psychological horror)to be realistic? U read to get away for a while and forget the "REAL WORLD." This was a very good DK book that I gobbled up. It is quite good, but I'll agree not his best. However, it is a well told story and has sympathetic characters!! One of his earlier works!! A MUST-READ for "Koontz-ite's."
Rating: Summary: Run For Your Lives Review: I generally use Koontz as a filler between other works, and I manage through his predicatibility. This, howerver, reeks. I always finish the books I start and I read this one as fast as I could to get it over with.
Rating: Summary: Read it out of devotion to Koontz, but... Review: I have read almost all of his books, but this one was like The Funhouse - short, quick read, predictable, not intriguing, but fun. I read it in one day, it reminded me of the stuff I read in high school. I wonder how fast Dean whipped it out? (No pun intended). I like books on reincarnation, especially when it goes back a century or two and revolves around a tragedy (read Suffer The Children by John Saul - excellent), but I have to say that I'm glad my fellow Koontz-loving sister paid for the book and let me borrow it! I wouldn't have spent money on a paperback with an ending like The Mask. The ending did not allow for closure!!!! However, I remain a devoted fan.
Rating: Summary: KOONTZ DOES IT AGAIN. UTTERLY SUPERB!!!!!!!!!! Review: I havn't read many of Koontz's books, but this one is SUPERB. The best ever. It kept me on the edge of my seat (bed), the whole time. I loved it.
Rating: Summary: great - no less Review: I think it's the best of Dean Koontz's work. I loved the suspense; just couldn't put the book down. This is a must read for suspense & horror lovers. I strongly recommend it
Rating: Summary: Creepy psychological thriller! Review: I thought that this was one of the best books that I ever read! That is saying a lot for me since I am so picky! This book was a real page turner, and I read it in like three days. The couple grabs your attention right away, I mean who picks up a child on the side of the road? You have to admit, that part is a little creepy to begin with! I read this book back in H.S. so it's hard to remeber a lot of the plot. After reading this book you may never look at hitch hiker's the same way again! If you believe in the idea of past lives, or if you like psychological thrillers than this book is for you!
