Summary: Okay...
Review: Christopher is an amazing writer, but, if you're a true Pike fan, you've noticed that the end is the same as "Slumber Party" and sort of liek "Weekend." I won't say anything more, but those three books have a similar and boring style. You would know what I mean if you really studied it. Anyway, Chain Letter was amazing...sort of. My friend told me that the sequel is better. I have yet to make that tangible. This book was sort of boring. The back of the book says that there are deaths, but not one person died...sort of. I'm not a carnage fan, but the book shouldn't lie. And the teens just went through these dares like tissues. It was sort of boring. Like, Brenda tells all the teachers to go to hell--which was hysterical--and then it's over. Whoopdy doo. My favorite part, though, was when the Caretaker attacked Alison at her house. That scared the hell out of me. But I didn't like what happened at the end of the attack. It was so "America's Funniest Home Videos" -like. You'll see. Anyway, this was really interesting, funny, and scary. It is no doubt that Christopher Pike has true talent.

Summary: Pike at his best!!!
Review: This is Pike at his best. I could not put this book down. His use of suspence was great. Just when you thought one thing would happen, another thing would. It was a thrill.

Summary: very suspenseful with a surprise ending- sooo good!!
Review: Christopher Pike is a very talented author whose work I love to read. He never leaks any information to give away the ending of the story. I was interested to see that this story had no sci-fi related matter in it, perhaps the sequel will...but I haven't read it yet. I loved how he made you believe at one point in the story or another that the caretaker was each of the characters. The "deeds" became more and more interesting and scary. I'll look forward to reading the sequel.

Summary: ONE OF HIS BEST!
Review: This was one of my absolute favorite books. It was also one of the scariest books I've ever read, mainly because it was so REAL. I don't know what I would have done in the situation that these teens were in. To me, when story like this one presents people in a situation that could happen to almost anybody, that story is truely a horror story. If you haven't read the book, and its sequal, you're really missing something special. If you liked I Know What You Did Last Summer (I thought it was a stupid movie, but it follows the same story), Chain Letter is a MUST!

Summary: plot line sound familiar??
Review: how many here have watched "i know what you did last summer"??? i think lois duncan may have got a few pointers from pike, but whoknows it may be vice versa...i have yet to check lois duncan's publication date for "i know what you did last summer" but i'd have to sya the two are awfully similar in a certain respect...the two books were good, and it makes more sense with chainletter2.. later all...

Summary: A totally chewbin' book!
Review: Absolutly the BEST!!! Well, almost. I liked the sequal better. This is the one that got me hooked on Pike, my favorite author. My favorite part was when Alison was alone in her house near the end of the book and then the Caretaker stopped by for a little visit. I've read that part, like, a million times, and I've read the entire book at least three times. My MATH TEACHER even liked it!

Summary: One Of His Best!
Review: I really love Christopher Pike's books.I really like how he develops his characters and plots. This book was one of his bests because it was a true who-done-it.You could tell it was an earlier work because it wasn't as gory as his recent ones.I loved it!

Summary: A GREAT PIKE BOOK!
Review: I thought it was a well written book. It kept you wondering what was going to happen next. If you like Pike's books, then you'll love this one!

Summary: it was so funny, it made me cry!!
Review: I loved this book. Especially at the part where they are in the car about to run over the body and they put that tape on with Jean and the caoch. that part is the best thing in the whole book. Even now whenever I feel down , I look at the part of the book and it still makes me laugh. the only reason I gave this book a 9 was because I had already read the sequel, so I knew who the killer was. this is one of C. P.'s best work. I highly recomend it!!
