Summary: Review on Chain Letter by Christopher Pike
Review: Chain Letter by Christopher Pike
Horror
Plot summary:
Seven friends have a terrible secert that must be kept. When someone finds out, or one of the group members decided to make them all pay for their terrible secert, a chain letter arrives. The chain letter is the key to surving the year.

~This book, Chain Letter, is like many other horror, mystery books. If you love to read that type of classification then this is a great book. If not I would not requirement reading it.

~The main character, Allison, loves to act. What I shared with her was devotion to what you love to do. She was suppose to mess up her lines in the play but she couldn't hurt what she loved to do. "Stepping confidently to the side of the front door, she heard the sound effect of a real door opening and closing.... and then swept into the lights." p.88. All through the book the Caretaker, who signed the end of every chain letter, wanted them to mess up what they loved to do or were the best at. Many of the characters would mess up, but some would be couragess enought to go on with thier life. What made me react the most were the different personalities of each character.

~I thought this book was alright. It started out pretty slow but at the end it got better. If you like to read horror books then this is a good one. If you don't then DON'T read it.

Summary: kinda cliche but okay
Review: I just finished this 'I know what you did last summer' kinda book. In the beginning for some reason I just could not get into the story, I don't really know why but I just couldn't. then the story started to get a lot better, chilling and scary. But I kinda began to suspect who was behind the chain letter, just because of some 'hints' that were given out. I turned out to be right, but still the story was really good and really touched your heart in the end. I only gave it four stars because of the cliche storyline (in the beginning) and that I knew who the caretaker was. Now let's see if you can figure it out too!

Summary: Cliché
Review: Chain Letter was ok...but not near Chris's bests. I mean, it was sorta like one of those teen slasher movies or something! it was a good horror book, but it wasn't very substantial. i actually didnt get very "into" the book, I just read it when i was bored. I'd say save this book for an airplane ride.

Summary: pretty good
Review: This book is about 6 friends who kill a man by accident. They are sent a chainletter that says they have to complete the task assigned and pass it on to the next person in the group. You learn about the story from a boy and girl in the group who you know aren't the caretaker. The story moves on as they try to figure out who the caretaker is, even suspecting each other. In the end, it turns out to be the least person you would expect. I wouldn't call it Pike's best book but you probaly shouldn't pass it up.

Summary: Chain Letter by Christopher Pike
Review: This book is about six teens who share a secret together, a secret they can't tell anyone about. Only one person knows exactly what they did and are continuiosly tortouring them one by one with a chain letter. At first it wasn't such a big deal, but later on it began to get scarier by the minute. The gang are convinced that it's either the devil or someone they know, maybe even one of them in the group. Read it! You won't regret it!

Summary: Chain Letter
Review: This was one of Christopher Pike's best works to date. The struggle to save their lives while upholdind their dignities and morals is poignantly shown in this horror masterpiece that starts down the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" road, and manages not only to surpass that mediocre movie, but leave it in the dust. Pike's usually ever present supernatural twist is not involved in this book, but there is so much hinted mistery, you forget to miss it. Far less bloody than most of Christopher Pike's books, it is, nonetheless, chilling, scary, and NOT FOR PRETEENS. Other than that, read it, you won't regret it.

Summary: Christopher Pike
Review: I have read about 20 of Christopher Pike's books and all were outstanding. I read one right after another and I couldn't stop reading them. The Chain Letter is the best one I read. It is like I Know What You Did Last Summer but better. You never know what's going to happen next and you never want to put the book down. It is one of the best books I have ever read!
