Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Finally mainstream will get this
Review: I read this a long time ago. I wish it had been made into a movie long ago. King protrays that storyline like it should've been done a long time ago.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I was at the edge of my seat
Review: I read Apt Pupil twice and both times I was at the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the many twists and turns the story took. All of my frieds who read the book had the same reaction that I had. Mr. King out- did himself with this book

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Wonderful book
Review: This book is one of King's best. It was filled with many emotions of how Todd Bowden becomes as evil as the Nazi veteran! Beautiful book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: unbelievably moving
Review: I picked up this novella unaware of the power this story contained. It is not just a story of power and past crimes, it reflects the dark and , dare I say, perverted side to all of us. Todd Bowden learns to associate sexual feelings with death and murder while Dussander can only function with murder and the destruction of lives, the life he lived decades earlier. YOu will not be able to put this novel down as King shocks you with each turn of the page

Summary: Disturbing and unsettling tale of a Nazi and a young boy.
Review: The content of Apt Pupil is very disturbing, and disturbing is fine as long as in the end it doesn't win. Disturbing definately wins out in Apt Pupil. As I listened to this story, I found myself thinking "Why am I listening to this!", it was that unsettling to me, and if King set out to do that, he accomplished it. As with all King's books, the detail is superb and his character development wonderful - but also as with all King's books, the ending came abruptly and left much to be desired.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I do belive this has to be one of his greatest works. It made me laugh, it made me cry.. It made me read it again and again...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Chilling tale of Inner Evil
Review: King's short stories are much better than his novels, and this is one of his best. No creature with fangs and claws, no ghosts or goblins, just pure evil. It is almost immpossible to put down, and leaves you with the feeling of "this could really happen" I'm not sure which character comes off as the most wicked, Todd or Dusander, but one thing is for certain, both are as evil as the day is long.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A decent, worthwhile read.
Review: I thought "Apt Pupil" wasn't that bad of a read. Its typical Stephen King.Though the story line is good, the end is kind of sketchy.I gave it four stars because of the other stories in the book. "Hope Springs Eternal" is just as good of a read.
