Summary: oh my god
Review: I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book at my local bookstore me being a lover of modern vampire novels and being that I am 15 I was surprised to find this was an erotic sex book! But it was amazing. First of all this book had no plot what so ever just a premise but let me remind you a good one. The characters were written in depth wonderfully. So many lovers so little time I thought while reading this first john, then Ricari, then Daniel, then Lovely ..., girl!

Summary: Voice of the Blood
Review: I happen to know Jemiah quite well (ex-girlfrined of my brother, friend to all) and i was quite excited to read her first novel. I was further enticed to hear that it was a racy vampire sex novel. My high expectations were more than acheived in this book. in fact, i could not put it down! the smart, original characters become alive in the book, as the plot twists and turns like a wire that has had some harsh abuse. A thrilling plot, good characters, a fantastic book. I urge you to buy this book. Jemiah really deserves this.

Summary: Wickedly Amazing!!!
Review: I have always been a fan of anything to do with vampires. One day I was just looking around and stumbled upon this book. I bought it, then began reading it the next day. After the 1st chapter I was a little skeptical about continuing the book because something happened that I just wasn't expecting. But I'm glad I did continue reading. It turned out to be a book that I couldn't put down... it was absolutely amazing!!! The characters are totally wonderful. The vampire Daniel was my favorite. You kind of wish he were a REAL person. I thought that this book was written extremely well, and the details were so vivid. You got pulled into this world of love, lust, violence, sex, drugs, and friendship. I hope Jemiah Jefferson continues writing books like this. I think there needs to be a sequal to "Voice of the Blood" *hint hint Jemiah*!!! If you get the chance, pick this book up... because I guarantee you will not be able to put it down. And once it's over, you'll wish you would've read it slowly!

Summary: VOICEOF THE BLOOD
Review: I LIKED THE STORY AND CONNECTED WITH THE CHARACTERS. IT IS A BOOK THAT DELVES INTO THE UNDERBELLIE OF LIFE. THE LANGUAGE IS GUTTERAL AND CRASS. I JUDGE IT HARSH IN SOME RESPECTS SINCE I'VE READ SOME ROMANCE VAMPIRE NOVELS SOME HAVE HAVE ROMANCE DESCRIPED INSTEAD OF USING FU.. CU.. DI.. COULD HAVE BEEN FLESHED OUT MORE, DID NOT LIKE ENDING.

Summary: Don't bother....
Review: I love reading vampire books. When I saw Voice of the Blood, I was really excited to read this book. I was really disappointed in this book. I found the char's weak and a lack of a plot.

The chars were very week. As a female char, Ariane, was really weak. She was lead around by her nose and did what everyone said and wanted. I honestly feel that there was no motivation for the actions she did. This was truley a wear female character.

Ricari was a weak vampire. I found his motivations weak and pointless. I felt Ricari could have been more of a strong character is he was developed more.

Out of all the characters, Daniel was the weakest. Throught the book, we were told that Daniel was a violent monster, that was worse of the worse and bad of the bad. Then when we finally were intorduced to him, he was weak as well. He did nothing violent or ruthless. He was so passive, it was almost funny.

I also felt this book lacked a plot. There was no focal foing ot this book. It was just sex between human and human, human and vampire. I don't mind sex in a book, but let it have a point.

You can read this book, at your own risk. If you want my opinion. Take a pass on this book.

Summary: Sssomething new
Review: I read alot of vampire books, novels as well as trashy pages tacked together and called literature. This writer is the real thing. She is that special something most other writers make you wait for. Jemiah starts you out as if tying off your arm and patting your head before injecting you with a story that makes your toes curl in bliss. Gritty, visceral and glittery all at the same time. Yes, Daniel is monstrous... chic gore. A welcome flipside to the overly guilt-ridden Ricari, who yes, you love too. But Ariane...ahhh...there you have the nearly ideal heroine for she isn't trying to be noble, not at all. She's swept along with sex, drugs and blood...and seems content all the same. It's a great work and if you had a mind to, it's easy to play the soundtrack as you read. Five stars, two thumbs and a pile of black-red roses for Jemiah and her work. It's as sexy as Laurell K Hamilton but the heroine is more believable. Racier than Rice and bloodier than Brite...and soooo good. ( As a sidenote and necessary thing, I loved Lovely too...He reminds you of every cool and pretty boy you've ever adored.)

Summary: GIRL WITH SHORT ATTENTION SPAN ACTUALLY FINISHED A BOOK
Review: I really loved this book and i didn't want it to end. It is one of my favorites. I was looking for something to hold my interest, that didn't seem like it was written in the 18th century. When i saw it staring at me in the store i only knew that it was a vampire story. Jemiah can write and she's not one bit boring. I loved the Ariane/Daniel relationship. Thanks for writing a great book! Ariane Rules!

Summary: Shallow, uninteresting
Review: I thought the characterizations were for the most part unfocussed and uninteresting. I had read the reviews and expected a seriously graphic and horrifying read that would satisfy an afficiando of the genre and found that I was dissatisfied in all respects. While yes, there was sex aplenty there really was not much else. The horrifying stuff was usually shown in a few lines of dialog tossed off by the characters. I reccomend if you want serious vamp fiction you try Lumley, Taylor, and Hamilton.
