Summary: A good Teen book.
Review: This book was ok if you are in the mood for some light reading. It was filled with alot of dialect between the characters, which had no purpose for the reader or the plot. The ending left something to be desired. It seemed that the author wanted to hurry up and finish and didn't give much thought to the readers feelings. I felt as if I was left hanging. It's a good book for a teen, yet, I'm in my early 20's and it didn't satisfy me at all. This book is nothing like the original V.C. Andrews books. It's a shame.

Summary: Some kind of screwed up dark Beverly Hills soap opera
Review: This book was really bizarre. Sure people make mistakes and do stupid things but those girls were evil. They must have been smoking crack or something or really hated their families. This book is good for kids because it teaches them about peer pressure. Then they tried to make Cathy's evil father out to be the bad guy after those girls all but turned Cathy's house into Babylon. It reminds me of that movie "Heathers" except that was supposed to be a comedy and this book was trying to be taken seriously. I don't recommend it except for entertainment.

Summary: its an ending
Review: This book was similar to the true vc andrews style but still not as good. The orphans and wildflowers are not as page turning and intriguing as past series have been. I was very disappointed in the ending of this book. There was no real closure to the story as if it was being left open to possibly continue. If you have already started the series it has to be read though because it answers alot of questions about Cat, and very few about any of the other girls.

Summary: This is more like it!
Review: This book was the best of the all the books in the series. The real VC Andrews "style" showed all through the book, making the pages turn quicker and quicker. I hope they stop doing mini series, becasue it really isn't like VC Andrews would have done it. I hope they go back to large novels for books in a series, instead of a mini series. But for now, I am happy to say I loved this book!

Summary: Into the Garden, a teenage guideline!
Review: This book, Into the Garden, was an extremely good piece of literature. The book shows teenage girls what they may face in the future or what they have faced in the past. There are a lot of peer pressures and family pressures that all require solutions. Girls can use these solutions for their own life. They may not have to face the problems others face. Plus, this book was an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Sure it may not have blood, but it is a book about real life and real problems, maybe not real people, but characters that can relate to the world as it is today. This is definitely a book for all girls.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: completely unrealistic
Review: This book, though far from the worst of the Andrews books I've read, still falls short of V.C.'s credibility. The plot is definitely interesting and a little creepy. Still, it's so implausible that I laughed the absurdity of burying Cat's dead mother in the backyard and then redecorating the house and holding parties. Amusing, but completely shallow.

Summary: These girls are so smart, I want to be just like them
Review: This is a heartwarming story to teach preteens about friendship, parental relationships, and how to commit felonies. Our four characters from the not so terrible miniseries, Jade, Star, Misty and Cat are back and more screwed up than ever.
The story is told from Cat's point of view. She finds some secrets about herself and her mother. She does clever things like jumping down from high places and breaking her ankle. So anyway, as numerous reviews before this one have pointed out. Cat finds her mother dead, and for some reason she decides not to call the police, but calls Jade instead.
Jade comes over and they determine that her mother is in fact, dead. For some reason, Cat doesn't seem to care very much. They go on about how Cat will have to be an orphan now, and they will be separated, which in my opinion, would not be a bad thing at all. So they bury Cat's mother in the backyard and come up with stupid ideas such as one of them walking around the neighborhood every once and awhile wearing a brown wig.
Then they look at the house, and they see a great big house with no parents. Yah! Party time. They entertain their boyfriends there. I guess they decided it would make a good whore house. Cat's father senses something strange about the girl's behavior, so he begins to call more and prowl around, since we know that he is supposed to be the real bad guy in this book.
Keep reading for the exciting conclusion. It is also populated with many heartwarming scenes, such as Jade complaining because she has to do the dishes and it will ruin her manicure. I guess she can think of better sacrifices for her manicure, like burying people in the backyard.
Anyways, I can't get over how horrible I thought this book was. These characters were not bad at all in the miniseries, but he does a horrible job incorporating their separate personalities when they are together, and they don't seem to act like any normal person would ever act or think.

Summary: Into the Garden
Review: This was a very good book. I needed something to read during class and i didnt have a book so my friend lent me "Into the Garden". I started to read the book and I really couldnt get into the book. The begging is boring. Once you get past the first few chapters the book gets to be so you cant put it down. I got so into this book that i read it in less than a week.

Summary: Let's bury THIS in the garden...
Review: This was quite possibly one of the WORST books I have ever read. It was illogical, poorly written, and laughable. First of all, no one can go out, bury their mother in the backyard, and expect no one to know about it. And isn't it oh-so-convenient that Geraldine had no friends and thus, no one knows about her death? I mean, come on. And wouldn't the neighbors notice a freshly dug GRAVE, for Pete's sake?! And then everyone goes and has sex in the house. Is there something I'm missing here, that EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER HAS TO HAVE SEX IN THESE BOOKS?! And the whole scene with Cat's ankle made me laugh because it was so poorly done. The ghostwriter is milking a cash cow that's long since dried up. Heck, that cow is DEAD. Let it rest with Andrews, ghostwriter. Your clichèd characters, sappy plots, mangled metaphors, idiotic names - I mean, come on. Ice? Cinnamon, Rain?, and continued use of incest, rape, sex in general. It's never completely, utterly asinine, redundant, and bland.
