Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is amazing
Review: This book was exciting and I read it in no time. As for the technical errors-so what? It's a fun book, not a science text book. It was exciting and descriptive. I could easily say it was one of my favorite books I have ever read. I plan to but the sequel, The Trench as soon as possible. I would like to say thank you to the author for doing a great job and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Summary: Great book full of suspense and action!
Review: A very exciting book that really draws you in. After beginning it, I couldn't put it down until i was done. Although a sort of slow start, once into the book it has you wanting to know what will be on the next page.

I definately recommend this book to any adult adventure, action lover.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME
Review: I started reading books like Jaws, The Beast, and White Shark when I was in sixth grade. Ever since then I could not find a book just like that worth reading. I found an article in a magazine about books simalar to Jaws. Extinct, and Meg. I loved Meg, it was almost better than Jaws, it's self. I tried to keep up with how many people were eaten, but I lost count. I loved how the author imagined what the megalodon would do and act with out making it seem phony, and boring.

Summary: Good book but basic technical errors
Review: This book was basically very good but could have been great if the author would have had a better knowlege of submersibles and diving. He made some major technical errors which killed the realism. Since this book is very similar to Peter Benchley in style it should emulate him in accuracy as well. The basic premise of the main charactor having been involved in a sub accident which killed two crew members due to not decompressing is a major error. Sub crews do not get pressurized on descent so they do not decompress on accent. Also divers do not breath oxygen they breath compressed air. It seems strange that these errors could be made at this point in time considsering how exposed the general public has been exposed to undersea exploration. These errors just seemed to undercut the underlying story line.

Summary: "A Novel of Deep Terror" or DEEP ERROR?
Review: Very attractive cover. WOW... Another proof not to judge the book by its cover. I must admit, the descriptions of the shark were somewhat amazing and we must at least give credit to the author for his outstanding job on researching the prehistoric shark known as Meg.

Interesting beginning...that's all !!! Jurassic shark?? Not even close. The plot was terrible. A long extinct shark that for some reason stayed alive, gets to experience what it's like to be on the surface of the ocean, got the hang of it and kills everything in sight??? Possibly creative but I don't buy it. Very unrealistic. And how do you kill this tremendous, invincible Carcharodon Megalodon? Go inside it and rip its heart out. Ugh. Please!

To make the book worse, the characters weren't developed, very predictable story line, and is fast paced. But if this is your kind of book, go ahead and see for yourself.

Summary: Awesome
Review: I loved this book. The book was easy to follow and quite suspensful. Read this book.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Its good, but not creative
Review: The while the story is entertaining and suspensful, there is nothing that this book offers after the shark surfaces that has not been seen in a JAWS movie or any other work of Peter Benchly (Such as WHITE SHARK or THE BEAST). For example there is even a cage incident, but I guess you can't have a shark story without one. Steve Alten does do a decent job making the reader believe that such a shark could still be in existence.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS WORTH THE BUY!!!!!!!!!
Review: I think this book is one of the best books I've read in a long time! It is a MUST buy for all the megalodon fans and the shark fanatics. VERY discriptive book by Steve Alten. Also very gory for all those people that like reading about discriptive gore. A MUST BUY!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: what kind of book is this ????!!!!
Review: since when did steve alten learn how to write? this book is not only boring but also unrealistic in a sense that the hero went inside the shark's belly and killed it inside - get real. not to mention there's no thrill, no surprises, no suspense. the ending is as less thrilling as the beginning and plot.
