Summary: Wasn't what I expected
Review: I love LKH, I loved her ABVH sereies, I loved Kiss of Shadows....what I didn't really love was COT. It was just really hard to get into. I mean I loved that another of her books came out, I was waiting for it but..sheesh.
Merry is just starting to relize what she needs to do to get other to look at her with repect. Remember Kitto? The little goblin? Well he's half sidhen and has come into his power. Oh yeah Merry has another hand of power. She is now Princess of Fleash and Blood.
If you do love LKH's Merry sereis, you should get the book. It's very informitive adn it you're waiting for the third book and don't read COOT, you're gonna miss alot.

Summary: WOW
Review: Alright I was starting to get worried about LKH and her writing style. I was starting to think she was using sex in her stories way too much but the way she intertwines it into this new series makes sense. Merry is a great character and has a lot of back bone and a lot of biting wit. She reminds me of Anita in a lot of ways but I think it is mostly because they are both strong, independent women. But Merry is a little bit more relaxed with her sexual side and in her world of the UnSeelie court sex is regarded as a common thing and is not looked down at as a disgusting dirty thing. LKH doesn't base the entire book on sex, don't get me wrong, but when she does use it she uses well. 5 stars!

Summary: Good - but not as good as she gets
Review: Merry's latest adventure is a great read - i read it in a marathon session overnight. It is truly Hamilton, and the prose is high style. The only disappointment i had with this book was it seemed as if it were missing parts - sometimes the action or narrative would seem to skip, especially toward the end. In any case, a great read for anyone who enjoyed A Kiss of Shadows.

Summary: Meredith and Frost...enough said!
Review: I got this book last evening and read it in one sitting. It's that good. The author's Anita Blake series has become all but unreadable, but this series is fun and sexy and darkly beautiful. The faerie world and the modern human world are so well blended you can almost believe it's real-life, and the detective story in this novel is interesting. But I bought this book for one reason only:to see more of Killing Frost, sidhe warrior and contender for the love of Princess Meredith. All the men, and Merry too, are well drawn characters, with strengths, weaknesses and delightful little quirks(I won't give anything away but Doyle, Rhys and the goblin Kitto have some great scenes in this book). But Frost is the one to watch, as his emotions thaw and his vulnerabilty shows through his formidable sidhe armor. Hamilton does us all a great favor and allows Meredith to recognize fairly early on that Frost is her strength and her true love. I can't wait for the next installment, and I intend to read this book again to fully enjoy the sensual imagery and clever dialogue. And Frost.

Summary: More, please
Review: Okay, it was great. I want more; you can't eat...er.....read just one. Some questions answered, more questions raised - best kind of book.

I gulped this down very quickly. I'm going to have to go back and read more slowly - not a hardship. I expect to enjoy it more with each reread.

Summary: Can the Princess become a Queen?
Review: That certainly seems to be the major question in the newest Princess Meredith series. I found Merry's growth interesting as she determines just how much she wants to be the next Unseelie Queen and how she's going to get there while not becoming like the current queen. It's an easy read and a very enjoyable successor to Kiss of Shadows.

Summary: Caress of Twilight
Review: Caress of Twilight was an excellent follow up to Kiss of Shadows. I finished it in one day! I know I'm insane, but I just couldn't put the book down. In order to really appreciate this book you should definately read Kiss first. Laurell K. Hamilton is a great writer, and although the ending is not the best part, it leaves you waiting for the next book of the series. ((Hurry up and start writing!!!))
Caress brings back the old characters and a few new ones, but it is truly a great read. I recommend Caress of Twilight, especially to readers who have read her other books.
Rhys, Frost, Doyle, Galen, Kitto, and Nissa... just a few of the characters back in action. Go get a copy quick!

Summary: Different but still great!
Review: This second tale in the adventures of Princess Meredith is one of secrets, sheet ripping sex and personal growth.

In this, the second installment of the tales of a princess of farie we learn more of the backgrounds of some of our favorite characters. We learn who they were, where they've been and what they've lost. But we still haven't learned the whole story. Hamilton keeps us in suspence and yet fills in parts of the picture.

The sex keeps getting better for Merry, but there are things out there killing/hunting. While most might find this book a bit slower than the first, the reader would do well to pay attention and read between the lines.

Meredith is beginning to realize what it is to truely be queen. She is realizing that there are going to be sacrifices to be made and choices that she is not going to enjoy. But she is also becoming more sure of herself in that she is willing to make those sacrifices to insure she will be a queen with power and not just a queen in name.

All in all a wonderful read, with details that begin to give us a glimmer of the world of Farie, and of things to come!

Summary: Another Winner From the "Queen of Fantasy"
Review: In this newest outing from acclaimed fantasy author Laurell K Hamilton we are given a more indepth look into he life of High Court Fey Princess Meredith Gentry. With her usual flare for combining suspense, eroticism and just plain old fun "A Caress of Twilight" is a total winner.

In this second of the series once exiled Sidhe Princess Meredith Gentry now has all that a "good little princess" could want. This second in the Meredith Gentry series does not pack quite the punch of the first "Kiss of Shadows" which had more detail, and political intrigue as we were first introduced to the Fey Princess, however it is still fantastic and has all of Hamilton unique style. I was slightly dissapointed with the fact that the Faerie Court was not included as much this time around, however the inclusion of modern day Los Angeles with the spin of the non-human was wonderful. If you are a fan of Laurell K Hamilton you will NOT want to miss this newest addition... in truth you will be positively on edge for the third part. As a true fan of Laurell K Hamilton I can only hope that the third part comes quickly.

Summary: At least I got to the end of "Narcissus in Chains"
Review: I laughed so hard, I couldn't finish reading the book. Somehow, I don't believe that was the author's goal.
