Summary: You've gotta read this
Review: I think this book is one of the best books in the Resident Evil collection, it really goes into the descriptions of the Zombies, & how Raccoon City was infected by the T-Virus. This is by far one of the greatest books ever written that actually follows the game for the most part.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you loved the game, you'll love the book.
Review: One thing I really like about the Resident Evil books is that they give a lot more background information that the games do not. The book pretty much follows the game, but it has extra parts that make the story better. If you want to know the whole story of Resident Evil 2, then read the book.

Summary: Excellent Chiller of A Novel, and Resident Evil to boot
Review: For anyone who has played Resident Evil 2 whether the PlayStation version or the N64 version then this book may be worth only a couple of read throughs. For people who haven't played the game but love horror movies, or books then this is definitely worth the money. The reason that even those who have played the game to the bitter end and know the plot, it's nice to read the novel and be able to understand exactly how everything fits together. The only problem that I had with the book is that the author has side stepped the majority of the puzzles that are in the game, but this is understandable considering how long the book would be otherwise. Overall this book is worth the purchase and there shouldn't be a person out there that claims to be a Resident Evil fan and doesn't have this book.

Summary: If you played the game....don't read the book...
Review: I have read all of the Resident Evil novels and this one by far the longest...and dullest. If you have played the Resident Evil 2 game, reading the book is a waste of time. I was pretty much skipping every other word as I hurried thru the book to see if there was anything that the book told, that the game did not. There was very little and the little there stated in the book was not enough to justify reading it. It is a book to have in your collection and a good book for someone who has not played to game, to read and get a good grip on what is going on in Resident Evil 2 before actually playing game.

Summary: Good Read, but too much like the game
Review: Right before Halloween, a couple monthes ago, I send away for this Resident Evil book, because I really loved playing the game of RE 2. While the story starts out well and plays strong for a while, it starts losing it midway through, and I think the reason is because the book follows the game almost exactly (I think this is probably why a lot of video games turned into movies don't work and why the RE movie is experiencing problems.) On the plus side, the story is moved along pretty well and some depth is actually added to the characters, who in the game, just move the player from point A to point B.

Summary: The best book ever
Review: This book is the best it was better than the game i enjoyed it very much and i recament that all residnt evil fans read it.

Summary: It was O.K.
Review: This book had plenty of action and suspence but didn't really tie in with the story as the game did. If they were following the story Jill wouldn't have gone with chris and barry out of the city she would have stayed in the city and when she was just about to leave the city would be full of zombies like in RE3 over all it was okay but like i said doesn't tie in with the story that much. i never really got how in like one shot a zombie would die?

Summary: Best book I've read in a while
Review: This has to be the best of the 4 Resident Evil books definitely. The others were ok, but had no action. This book has it all.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Right up there with any story you can name!
Review: This book is, by far, the best book that I've ever had the pleasure of reading. The story itself is intense and pulse-pounding and SD Perry is masterful at bringing the reader in and placing them right in the middle of the situation. The book also follows the game itself very closely, so true Resident Evil fans such as myself will love what Perry has done. Any person who buys this book will only have one problem: the inability to put the darn thing down.
