Rating: Summary: Quite possibly the best video game novel EVER! Review: Words simply cannot describe the awesomeness of this book. It is simply the finest RE novel written yet, even better than (and MUCH longer) then Umbrella Conspiracy. It is simply fantastic. I finished reading this in four hours, and NOT ONCE did I put it down. A fine job by the queen of RE novels, Stephani Danielle Perry (yes, folk, SHE is a woman! And a fine author I might add!) The way Perry described the enemies, the brief (but phat) boss encounters, were all very well done. the minute changes made to the outcome were also a pleasant surprise to a diehard RE fan like myself.
Rating: Summary: City of the Dead is one of the best Sci-fi horror Review: There are not many sci-fi horror books out there which compares to the creativity, suspense, and real horror of Resident Evil City of the Dead. Each moment in the book carries the suspense and mystery of what is to come. Even though I have never played the game, from the beginning the book threw me into the plot and got me into every breath-taking scene. Zombies, monsters, and viruses contribute greatly to the well-designed and well-organized plot of the survival horror which is Resident Evil. A book that any person will get transmit into after the first few pages. High praises to Perry for a job well done.
Rating: Summary: Read this only if you already read the previous 2 books Review: I thought this book would be better than the first one; she doesn't have to worry about the plot differences between Jill and Chris, since Leon and Claire is presumeably doing things at the same time. However, she chose to novolize the Leon A/Claire B scnario, which less of the story is revealed. Also, though I agree with the previous reader that cutting out the puzzle-solving part out of the novel is nice, but cutting them all made the police station feel alot smaller, making the reading experience very different than the playing experience. Unlike the first novel, enemy strength is much closer than the actual game, though; enemies in the first book feels weaker than the game itself.
Rating: Summary: Words cannot describe! Review: This book was amazing,i read the whole thing in one day.Perry took all the situations from the game and made them all just a littel more on the realistic side. The story followed the game perfectly,Perry let you get to know all characters in a new way, whether they were good or evil.I could go on forever but i won't.All in all a fantastic book, highly recomended.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: This book is great! I like how the author bypassed most of the puzzles by shoting locks or having other people do it. I found it very much like the game except Perry changed the guns a little and forgot about the upgrades. other than that the book really kicked azz.
Rating: Summary: Any Resident Evil fan sould read this book! Review: For anybody that was even slightly confused or lost by the game, READ THIS BOOK!!! It keeps you hooked into it so well you will loose sleep over it! Heres the deal, rookie cop and a concerned sister enter into a city infested with zombies. Sound familiar? It should if you read the previous books. Torn apart by destiny, they must each find their way to the poliece station where they hope people are. But what they find will change their lives forever and even have you asking a few questions!
Rating: Summary: Resident Evil 1-4 Review: Well, all you know S.D. Perry writes tons of books... But you know he is just doing so freaking good at this because you need all the information just to know a little bit of Resident Evil! Perry is doing GREAT!
Rating: Summary: to fans of RE Review: in answer to all the stupid people who dislike books because they aren't "good Literture" i have a simple response: only retarded readers read for the sake of what's good literture. I read books because they are cool and interesting if you are a diehard fan of RE get this book and get the others. it was like the game, but duh, it should be somewhat, but it is well put together in terms of character and scenario coordination. simply put: This book may be low quality lit' but it is cool and sweet, there are a few flaws, but who cares!
Rating: Summary: Video Game Gone Book Review: Resident Evil: City of the Dead is the epitome of survival-horror. The way that S.D Perry describes the world of Resident Evil is absolutely chilling. Whenever I read this book I can visualize everything; the exact location of items, the layout of the rooms, and the destruction of which has become of Raccoon City all because of S.D Perry's descriptions and from playing the video game. The story is told as if you're actually playing the game, you get one character's POV at a time, yet, you get to see the whole picture through various events over the course of the book. I recommend this book to all Resident Evil fans everywhere. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I just finished this book, and was thoroughly entertained. I felt the author did a fantastic job of keeping all the events intertwined. Once I hit the last 50-100 pages, I just couldn't put it down.
