Rating: Summary: What It's Worth. Review: At the time of this writing, I have not yet played RESIDENT EVIL. However, I have read the novel adaptation of the game (THE UMBRELLA CONSPIRACY) and that novel intrigued me so much that I wanted to check the continuing adventures of my favorite character from that novel, Jill Valentine, by reading NEMESIS. The book was exactly what I expected. The story is fairly engaging. The plot doesn't just focus on one character, but revolves around several. There are several surprises (if you've never played the game) and lots of action. I also enjoyed the final epilogue about Trent which made the novel that much more enjoyable to read. Great book for Resident Evil fans or anyone interested in reading mindless action/horror adventure.
Rating: Summary: Very scary. Well written!!!! Review: This book takes place at the same time as Resident Evil part 2 or "The City of the Dead". In this book you follow Jill Valentine on a different side of Raccoon City. But she has more troubles than Chris and Claire. She is being chased by the Nemisis, or the STARS eater. Throughout this book you will find yourself looking around the corners in your own house and praying to god that a huge half dead thing isnt going to jump through your wall. This is a good book.
Rating: Summary: Resident Evil ; Nemesis Review: I liked this book, but it might be to gorey for some people. The book is called Resident Evil:Nemesis, and the author is S.D. Perry. My favorite character(s) are Jill and Carlos, I think this because they have the most talent, are pioneers trying to save their city, and they both fall in love. The story took place in a zombie filled city called Sunset City. The Nemesis was a scientist who experimented with a virus that caused him to turn into a zombie. Nicholia is another character that had his whole squad killed by these creatures. He got the urge to kill since he is killing all these zombies, and tries to kill Jill and Carlos. Later in the story he is killed by the Nemisis who keeps evolving. A launch sequence by Umbrella, an organization of people who started experiments causing the virus that made everyone zombies, has begun to destroy Sunset City and everyone in it. The only thing the book teaches is how to kill zombies and creatures. It has a lot of gore and violence. It is definitely a book for an older individual. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes this kind of book that envolves violence and fighting with a lot of gorey details.
Rating: Summary: Dude! Don't read this in the dark! Review: OMG! This book is so scary! It goes into so much detail you cant find by just playing the game! (I admit, I didn't finish the game, as my memory card got messed up) It describes how evil Umbrella Inc. is, and now I hate them even more. It has made me a better player, even though it did reveal some of the events I didnt get to in the game yet. The spoilers didnt really matter to me because even though I know whats going to happen, I still want to see. The purpose of this game is the pure creepiness of it. Its like watching a movie you've already seen, so the spoilers arent that annoying.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Review: i think that no one could have done it better, s d perry has once again shown how she can novelise games with ease and accuracy congratulations, i am about to begin reading code veronica, and cannot wait for another resident evil original!...
Rating: Summary: Jill Valentine Rocks Review: This is the best book I have ever read.I decided that I would skip the 3 after the 1st because I have never played Resident Evil 3.So I decided to read the book, and I am probably going to do well at the game now. Although they never said what happened to the man in the ware house who decided that he wanted to lock him self in a storage thing. But it was the coolest book ever, and now Jill is my favorite Resident Evil woman (Sorry A.J. but Claire just aint up to Jill's talents). There was the good ol' zombies in it,hunters, huge spiders, and something called a brain sucker. But as for the most evil people there was a big worm and the S.T.A.R.S. killer called "NEMESIS".To tell you the truth I wouldn't want to meet either of them in the dark ally at night. While This is a really good book,it is in fact for mature people. It holds strong lanuage and talks about blood and gore (which never bothers me).But if you like chemichal break outs, zombies and bio-weapon beasts, the I would pick up this book A.S.A.P.
Rating: Summary: NEMESIS Review: If you saw the movie or played the games you would know this is a great book. The way S.D. Parry put the details of the scenes and characters was excellent.Plus the suspence of swicthing characters when something is going to happen is the best. You get to know what the character is thinking and feeling at the time. Thats why I gave this book a 5 star rating! The movie Resident Evil: Nemesis is coming out next summer so be prepared to go see it.

Rating: Summary: Resident Evil Fans: This book is a MUST-HAVE! Review: For the record, I am a die-hard fan of this series, and I want fans to know that every one of S.D.Perry's RE novels is excellent. I highly recommend every one of them to you loyal fans. With that said, here's my take on Nemesis: Like previous RE novels, Mrs.Perry breathes life into each of the characters. As a reader, you can almost feel Jill's anguish, as she wanders through the nightmare once known as Raccoon City. You experience her terror when she first encounters the Nemesis. Everything from the character's thoughts, to their enviornment, and the monsters they encounter, are brought to life in vivid detail. I'm also very pleased with how Mrs.Perry resolved questions that were left unanswered in the videogame. For instance, what was Jill doing in Raccoon City to begin with? After playing RE2 and reading the novelization, I assumed that she left for Europe with Chris and Barry. This question, along with further insights into the character known as Trent, was explained very well. This novel is an excellent read, and I look forward to reading future novels in this series.
Rating: Summary: Scary, but not in the true RE sense Review: This is one of the most horrible books i have ever read. I could barely force myself to read the book, the whole way through. You can tell a book/game cross-over is goin to be bad when you can practically use it as a walkthrough for the game. I started the book expecting an average book, that in some scenes would scare me and send shivers down my spine, making you feel like you were actually in racoon city, but even in the most action-filed scenes of the book, the author (S.D Perry) would not commit to adding some originality to the book by changing the plot from the game to suit the book. In the end i felt that my time has been abused by an unoriginal, uninspiring novel that has put me off S.D Perrys Resident Evil novels forever. S.D Perry i want the time i spent reading this book back. PEC rule.
