Rating: Summary: The Best Dean Koontz book I've ever read Review: The title seemed intreging, ya know,"the Door to December" I was eger to find out just how there was ever a "door" to December. Kinda stupid but I was lucky I think so simple sometimes because it was the best DK book I ever read. I knew a little too early that Mel was the "entity", but still, even though I THOUGHT I knew the ending, it turned out wonderfully. The events leading up to the end were suspenceful and I loved them. His descriptions were marvolus and when I finaly finished the book, I was smiling with excitement. The why Uhlander and Boothe told what went on in that gray room was both horrifying and dicusting, but it was well thought out by Koontz. How does this man come up with these things? ITS A MUST READ NOVEL!
Rating: Summary: dissapointing Review: the book was pretty good at the begining but it dissapointed me after that.its got some good moments but its got more boring moments.i really tried to like it but i couldnt give buyers a misunderstood review.
Rating: Summary: KOONTZ ROCKS! Review: Let me get this main point across: this book RULES! Laura's struggle to save her daughter is so moving and the thing between her and Dan just somehow reminds me of Joanna and that guy (oops...sorry, just forgot his name...well it's been awhile since I read it) from 'The Key to Midnight.' The identity of the actual culprit becomes a LITTLE obvious before the end but that doesn't take away from anything. The ONLY thing bad about this book is the way Laura talks to Melanie during the hypnosis--I really doubt that a kid that young knows what all those things in the gray room were, especially the electrocen-whatever; I can't spell the word so I'm pretty sure a little kid wouldn't knows what it meant. But this book is sooooo cool and the title rocks and I LOVE the ending! Like I just said, Dean Koontz ROCKS!
Rating: Summary: Exceedingly limpid Review: The title of the book doesn't strike the eye as particularly fancy, but "you can never judge a book by its cover." Trite but true. This book was wonderfully clear, very vivid. It tended to play mind games with me, tucking my toes into my bed linen to feel at least an ounce of security. Not to give away the end...but for me it was completely obvious. Who else would it be but the nice, quiet, abused, and withdrawn vixen of the story line? The events that led up to ending were amazing...I read it all the way through in one night. Major Suspense.
Rating: Summary: So far the best... Review: and I read whatever book I can get my hands on...from Dean Koontz...but the "Door to December"...I finished it in 3 evenings..gripping..I loved it...
Rating: Summary: There are better reads... Review: As a Dean Koontz fan, I must admit that I was rather dissappointed by this book. It was way too long, and although I usually find myself tearing through the pages of his books, I muddled along through this one. Before you read this, read Lightning and The House of Thunder. These are Koontz at his best.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book! Read it NOW! Review: This was an awsome book, the best, very best, thats all i can say. This is my first DK book and i can garuntee that it is not my last. I loved this book. I only put it down to sleep, thats how good it is.
Rating: Summary: The Door to December Review: It was an excellent book. I could not put it down after I started to read it. Very spell-binding. The Door to December captured my full attention.
Rating: Summary: Does it get any better than this? Review: I could not put this book down. It was the first time I ever read a 510 page book in 2 days. A must read!
Rating: Summary: Action packed from page 1 to page 510. Review: I am an avid reader of Koontz and this was one of the fasted paced books of his I've read to date. I couldn't put it down.
