Rating: Summary: Great Book, Must Read Review: This book was great. This is the first book of his, but i'm sure it won't be my last. I really enjoyed most of the book. I wanted to know more about how Melanie's dad tortured her and why he did it. The plot was great. I wanted to keep reading, I even read it as I walked home from school. This is pretty hard to do. The only thing I disliked about this book is the ending. I like books that end differnt than what you expect. This was not one of those books. I knew the whole time that Melanie was controling "The Door to December" I really enjoyed how this book was not really far fetched. You could see this happening some time in the future.
Rating: Summary: The Door to December Review: This was a great book. I couldn't put it down. It was a vary thrilling book to read. I'm really glad I read it. The only part that I didn't like was the ending. I can't believe that it was Melanie all the time. It's just stupid. I thought near the beginning of the book that she was the one controling it, but i started to second guess myself because the really good books want you to think one thing happens but it ends up ending another way. This book didn't though. That was kind of disappointing to me. Other than that it was a great book.
Rating: Summary: the door to december Review: this book i read in 3 days. i couldnt put it down. i really enjoyed the book
Rating: Summary: Door to December: reviewed by a 15 year old Review: This was my first Koontz novel, and certainly won?t be my last. It held my interest throughout the entire book. I am a not a big reader, but once I began the book I could not put it down until I had finished it. I think that the first 506-507 pages were great, but the last three or four could have been better. Even though I was disappointed in the ending I would suggest this to anyone who is enjoys reading about murders and mysteries. Even if you aren?t a big reader, I can almost guarantee that you will love this book. It?s a most read for anyone of almost any age.
Rating: Summary: Koontz can't leave himself alone... Review: ...he has this irresistable urge/desire to tinker with his past books. To polish and update. The Door to December, a thriller about a traumatized child's outbursts of psychic rage suffers from that syndrome. Although the setting, clothing, and political views are clearly recognizable in parts as the seventies, Koontz stuffs in 'contemporary' references to keep the novel 'current'. It doesn't work. The story is good enough to be left alone, as it should have been in the first place. Recommended for Koontz buffs.
Rating: Summary: His Best Yet! Review: I loved this book! What a page turner! It's his best since Watchers
Rating: Summary: This is a great book, like all Dean Koontz books are. Review: This book is great from page one. It kept me in suspense the whole time and made me want to read all his books. Door to December is a sad story, with an ending that shows a new beginning for the family. I loved it!
Rating: Summary: A story to remember! Review: I read this book over four years ago, but I can still picture it as clearly as I did back then. This is a book that everyone should read!
Rating: Summary: THE DOOR TO DECEMBER Review: OF ALL THE DEAN KOONTZ BOOKS I HAVE READ, "THE DOOR TO DECEMBER" WAS CHALLENGING SUSPENSFUL! EVEN THOUGH HALF WAY THROUGH THE BOOK YOU KNOW WHO THE KILLER IS AND PROBABLY WHY AND I FOUND MYSELF RACING THROUGH THE PAGES TO FIND THE FINAL OUT COME. HOWEVER, THE BOOK ENDS AS THOUGH THERE IS GOING TO BE A SEQUAL - BUT I'M NOT AWARE OF ANOTHER ONE WRITTEN. THIS IS DEFINATELY ONE OF THE BOOKS I HAVE READ THAT WILL STAY WITH ME FOR QUITE SOME TIME!!
Rating: Summary: WHERE'S THE BEEF? Review: THIS WAS ABOUT THE 20TH KOONTZ THAT I HAVE READ. SOME ARE OUTSTANDING, AND SOME SO-SO. THIS FALLS INTO THE SO-SO CATEGORY. NO SURPRISES HERE AND A DULL ENDING LEAVE ME ASKING "WHERE'S THE BEEF?" LOTSA POTATOES....BUT NO MEAT HERE. SORRY DEAN...THIS ONE COMES UP SHORT.
