Rating: Summary: A very average Koontz book Review: I've read many of Koontz's books over the years, and was disappointed by this one. I don't know how ANY of the readers here could say it is great, or "the best." I'm a big Stephen King fan, and have enjoyed many of Koontz's books in the past, really liked Odd Thomas, and some of his older books, like Phantoms, Whispers, Strangers, Whispers, and The Bad Place. This was barely worth the read. I will continue to peruse Amazon for reviews of his better books, so wish me luck. I'd hate to give up on Koontz entirely.
Rating: Summary: Best Koontz book Review: This is the best Koontz book that I have read. It is very graphic and entertaining. Once you pick up the book you will not be able to put it down. I would highly recommend it if you like the supernatural type stuff. This book doesn't go way over the line and make some supernatural things sound ridiculous like some authors do. It was written just right.
Rating: Summary: Unlock this door at your own risk! Review: Melanie McCaffrey was kidnapped at the age of three by her scientist father. At age nine, she is found again, rescued from a hideous laboratory...full of bodies...
Melanie was involved in some kind of project. And now something is stalking all those involved. First, it'll go after the researchers and those who financed the project. Then it'll come after young Melanie...
Dean Koontz scored big time with this one. Containing large doses of suspense, romance, thrills, and humor--the four main ingredients for a good Koontz novel--it is unique and unforgettable. "The Door to December" is an incredible novel that will leave you glued to the pages and wanting more.
Rating: Summary: Pleased Review: This was the 5th Dean Koontz novel I have read, it is my favorite book along with his "False Memories" book. Mr. Koontz did a fabulous job depicting characters and a very psychotic situation. I went crazy and couldn't put the book down because the suspense from page one just keeps building up and building up. You have inklings of what is happening, only you aren't positive. The reader doesn't get the whole picture until the last 5 or 6 chapters of the novel.Melanie, the 6 year old girl was abducted by Lauras husband (Melanie's mother). Melanie's father puts Melanie through painful and pshychologically damaging experiments in order to perfect a specific phsychogeist state. The Door to december is chilling and people are getting brutally murdered. This novel was by far the most suspensful book I have ever read. I absolutely loved it.
