Rating: Summary: Exciting,Thrilling,Loved the way it was put together. Review: I have read a lot of Koontz and this was the best book ever read.I mean the way the little girl was treated was awful,but I liked the cold dark shadow.I couldn't put it down.For being thirteen and have read a lot It was great.
Rating: Summary: The greatest book he has wrote besides intensity. Review: This is one of his best. I reccomend it to any Dean Koontz fans. The ending is not to great, but it kept me going till the end.
Rating: Summary: Mind Candy Review: I found the book a good bedtime read where you don't need to think very hard to see where the plot is going but it was full of flaws that needed overlooking.
Rating: Summary: Captivating, even though predictable. Review: In other Dean Koontz books I have read, everything is factual and carefully written. But in--The Door to December--for example, Laura was introduced as a psychiatrist and depicted later in the novel as a psychologist. Dean seemed to be getting the roles of his characters confused. I did enjoy reading this book, however.
Rating: Summary: Not Dean's best Review: This book, along with" Strangers", is one of the very few Koontz books I found not fascinating. It gets stuck with the lurid details of torturing a young girl. The morbidity is not unusual for Dean, but it usually is a sideshow to his great characterization and plotting. Couldn't get through this one with others begging to be read.
Rating: Summary: Not one of his best works Review: The basic concept of the mother finding her daughter after six years, only blocks from her home and under unusual circumstances had me intrigued...at first. Then it is the usual boy meets girl and they fight the good fight together to go on to build a life together. In between is the typical surreal settings that Koontz is synonymous with in most of his books. I had this one figured out after about 100 pages and was disappointed to find out I was right. Read it if you must but there are better books in this genre.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Hard to put down! Review: Door to december was an excellent read. I am a fan of Dean Koontz and enjoy all of his books but I must say this is one of my favorites. Write more, I'll be there to read them!
Rating: Summary: Predictable?...yes.....Great Book?...definitely!! Review: Being a DK fan, and having read just about every book he's written, I found this to be a great read. Although predictable by midway, I still found I couldn't put it down. An action packed adventure from start to finish. A must read for all those DK fans out there."The Door to December" is captivating, emotionally spell binding, you feel, love, hate, fear, terror and despair all at the same time. Highly recommended by this reader
Rating: Summary: one of my favorites Review: I haven't read a bad DK book; even though I knew
the little girl was killing; I couldn't put the
book down until I finished: usually when a book is predictable I don't finish it: but not this one;
felt like a roller coaster ride: I would love to see this one made into a movie: beats orig. poltergeist: thanks Dean Koontz
Rating: Summary: A must for all Koontz fans! Review: I just finished this book, and it was wonderful! From start to finish, an action packed adventure. Koontz never lets his fans down
