Rating: Summary: A treat for anyone who loves horror stories! Review: If one story doesn't get your blood pumping then the next will! A book that you start reading and you cannot put down till you reach the end. It is created from a combination of actual events that have happened, or still is happening, and the legend behind the events that is researched from whatever documentation that could be found. By the end of the book you will be on the edge of your seat if not from the first story. It is very well written and entertaining for the horror lover that wants to get as close to fear as one can without actually witnessing the event. A great book to read for entertainment and will certainly make you think when you hear noises at night!
Rating: Summary: Interesting stories, but... Review: lots of examples from hotels, bed and breakfasts, just as the last reviewer noted. Hmmm... kind of fishy :o) But, nevertheless, it kept me entertained and am not disappointed I bought it.
Rating: Summary: 100% good reading! Review: Tales of hauntings in America. Thos book is one of my favorits and I hope to see more books by the author.
Rating: Summary: A Very Good Book Review: This book has 1 or 2 true ghost stories from all 50 states in the U.S. The stories are not too long and they are very entertaining and enjoyable. I can remember back in 88' the Wisconsin story on the Unsolved Mysteries show about a family's house that was haunted by vengeful demons. I would highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: It scared me to death! Review: This book scared me a lot. I really like this kind of stuff so I was really pleased with this book.
Rating: Summary: Scared me silly!!!! Review: This book scared the crap out of me, and of course I was dumb enough to read it at night.
I really enjoyed the fact that the authors just report their findings and related stories, and I didn't feel like they were trying to convert anyone.
A great read!!!
Rating: Summary: Scary Review: This is a good thick book if youre looking for something to creep you out. What I really like about this book is that these stories supposedly "true" which, for me has a tendency to have a little more harder time going to sleep. Its a collection of accounts of paranormal activity across America, usually just one or two per state. If you like this book I recommend their other called Haunted Heartland, although this focuses mainly on the mid-west.

Rating: Summary: A good book.... Review: This was a good book and it does have some good real ghost stories. This didn't scare me as much as "Historic Haunted America", but this is still worth reading. Just beware of the dark....
