Summary: A Must Read Book!
Review: Once you get into this novel you find that you can not put it down. Weaveworld was my favorite by Barker but IMAJICA has taken the top spot. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read...
Review: This has got to be one of Barkers best so far. He draws you to yet another level sight. The dominions are a swirl of color and life as only Barker can make them. Get ready to see into a new world.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best books I have ever read.
Review: I'm not a Barker fan. I began reading this book purely from lack of anything else to read. I'm SO glad I did. The characters are so real and the story so captivating that I keep expecting to run into Gentle on the street. I highly reccomend this book.

Summary: Not since "The Stand" have I been so spellbound
Review: Clive Barker novel "Imajica" was like a love affair, and I didn't want it to end. I think the great horror writers of yesterday would be quite please with this work. The development of characters was fantastic, some I liked and then hated and some I hated and then came to like(somewhat). If you like big characters and interwoven plots this book is for you, and if you love hardcore horror this is a must read.

Summary: King and Koontz only dream of being this good.
Review: Having been a long-time fan of Clive Barker, I was thoroughly impressed with this novel with delves into the genres of sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and romance, and delves into all of them successfully. Most horror writers are lousy writers but excellent storytellers (and even the writers I speak of have their few-and-far-between exceptions to this generalization), but Barker seems to have a foothold in both realms. Virtually any novel he writes satisfies wholly, but none the way Imajica does. THIS IS A MUST READ!

Summary: Too much like the Divine Comedy
Review: The Divine Comedy with more adjectives; i am not sure what Dante would think of this though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SURREAL, BREATHTAKING, AND EUPHORIC !!!
Review: As an avid reader of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy, I have never had a book get me "high" to the point where I felt I could leap from a mountain and soar forever. Mr. Barker attains a level of imagination King wishes he had; fleshing out rich, complex characters that remain with you long after you read the last sentence. The story, at its core, deals with love, war, lost identities, and a quest for harmony. I much prefer the complete edition rather than the two-volume edition. Tolkien and Donaldson readers would be missing the reading experience of their life were they not to eneter Barker's world.

Summary: Imajica is one of the best works of modern fiction available
Review: Rarely are we as a race lucky enough to stumble upon a single work of literature that changes us individually and profoundly. However, after having read Imajica I can divide my life into two parts: before Imajica and after Imajica. With Imajica, Barker touched me in ways Tolkien and Poe never could. It is a tale of undying love and unknown horror and countless other things all at once. When I try recommending this work of art to my friends I cannot even put to words why they should read it. Imajica inspires the kinds of emotions that only make sense in our deepest dreams, and I can only implore you to join me in the ranks of those who have been touched by this book, and have travelled the dominions with Gentle and Pie.

Summary: Its like having a cattle prod connect with your mind.
Review: This novel has changed my life in ways I can't even fathom. Clive has made another impact on my life that reaches to the very first layer society has forced on my being. What more can I add that others havn't, but that reading this book is like being mind f***ed.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A dazzling but complicated adventure of the mind & spirit.
Review: This book is incredibly vivid, making for worlds which materialize in your imagination like no other author can do. The descriptions are bright and detailed, making it so that any mental image you might have seems as though it was brought out of the real world. The story is amazing, truly a masterpiece of the mind and the talents of Mr. Barker shine through on every page.

The downsides to this book are more numerous than the advantages I listed above, but do not make this book any less of a thrill ride. Firstly, this is Erotic Horror Fantasy, meaning that sex is prevalent throughout the story. Secondly, it is a vast book; while this allows for amazing plot development and incredibly extensive details, there are some spots where the book seems to drag a little. Also, the characters, aside from the integral ones, seem much less developed than characters in his other books. These do not, however, make this less of a book. I can honestly say that this is one of the top 5 books I have ever read.
