Rating: Summary: An Entertaining Read!! Review: Erica Spindler has written a fast-paced, enjoyable thriller with a several "neat" plot twists! One of the factors that adds to the charm of the book is the New Orleans setting. The reader is encouraged to take note of what are some of the author's obviously favorite haunts in the city. An added bonus is that it makes me want to go back to the Big Easy and make sure to see the sites as she sees them. Anna North is an engaging heroine, easy to believe in. It is evident why the cast of supporting players in the novel is attracted to her circle. The events are thrilling, and it is difficult to put the book down once you have gotten past the first few chapters. There is a dual storyline involving Quentin Malone's partner that takes away some enjoyment from the book, but overall, I'm thrilled that I found Erica Spindler, and grateful to Amazon reviewers, who led me to this discovery. I'm looking forward to reading some of her past work, and "Bone Cold" (bad title) will have a permanent place on my paperback book shelf. Read "Bone Cold" for a fast-paced look into a psychological mystery!
Rating: Summary: What a ride!! Review: Great book!! This is my second Erica Spindler book (First one was "In Silence". Very pleased with the amount of suspense. Characters were believable and intensity just picked up chapter after chapter. I am moving onto "Shocking Pink".
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Read! Review: I agree with one of the other reviewers. If I read "muttered an oath" again I will drop dead. I had a hard time reading this book because it was so predictable and the dialogue was not very realistic. Actually, the whole story was not very realistic. I am a police officer and many of the police scenes were not convincing. Maybe that isn't fair to say having personal experience, but I figure most readers would feel the same way. I found the book to be boring and had to force myself to forge onward in order to finish it. I will try to read one of her other books before I pass final judgement on Spindler. It may just be I don't enjoy her style more than thinking she isn't a very good writer. Sorry Spindler, but I would not recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Bone Cold-No way!!! Review: I bought this book expecting adventure, thril, a little romance, and was not impresed one bit. The book was not worthmy reading time. I was very disappointed, and I will never buy one of her books again. This book is worth negative 12 stars! But if you like boring a badly written books, go ahead...
Rating: Summary: Could not put this done Review: I could not put this book I had become a Erica Spindler fan when I read Shocking Pink and I thought that book was good this book was EXCELLENT! Every time I thought I know who did I was wrong and then when I got close to the end and I discovered who really did I was shocked. I was riveted to this book from the first page and I will not spoil it for someone who has not read it but I can honestly say that this book is worth it. Erica Spindler outdid herself in this book and I recommand it to anyone who has a pulse you will love it literally has you on the edge of you sit when you are reading certain sections.
Rating: Summary: This book deserves TEN stars! Review: I found myself reading slower & slower to make this book last!
Rating: Summary: On a par with James Patterson and Thomas Harris! Review: I have been a fan of Erica Spindler's since her first mainstream book, RED, which I loved. Each book has gotten better and better, and BONE COLD was my reward for hanging in there with this awesome author. In this story Spindler tells of Anna North, who now lives in New Orleans after a horrific ordeal in her childhood. She thought she'd left all that behind...until a chain of grisly murders in the French Quarter--murders that are linked to what happened to Anna so long ago. I literally could not put this book down until I had finished it. I read it straight through in one sitting, from just after breakfast till after dinner time. If you have never read Erica Spindler, you're in for a real treat. She has an amazing ability to tell a complicated, riveting story and never lets you down. It's no wonder she's a bestselling writer. Thanks, Erica, for hours and hours of wonderful entertainment.
Rating: Summary: Each Book Gets Better! Review: I have read every book written by Erica Spindler and I am always at the bookstore on the day they are first on sale. Usually a book of more than 400 pages intimidates me and I always push them aside for a faster read, but her stories always keep you going until you finish and then wish it could have been a longer book. The other reviews have gone into detail of the story line, so I will forego that and close by saying, if you haven't tried one of her books, you are missing a lot.
Rating: Summary: Very good Review: I never much like the help-me-some-strange-guy-from-my-past-is-hunting-me-again, but Bone Cold was an exception. It was extremely interesting, and full of great characters. You could feel the fear dripping off them. And the ending was original in my opinion. I won't spoil it like other people do (read the Review Guidlines!), but I will tell you it was original, and highly excellent. I recommend Bone Cold to anyone, fan of thrillers or not.
