Summary: One of the best books I have ever read!
Review: I'm one of those people who loves to write and hates to read, but this book was brilliant, the characters were well thought of and the story line was original. Sure the whole carnival thing has been done before but with the personalities of the characters and the past being brought forth with the present made all the difference. I couldn't put the book down. Dean Koontz is an amazing author; I will only read his books, no others can keep me interested. He knows how to keep you in suspense for just the right amount of time, not giving it away too quickly and he doesn't drag on for ever like Stephen King. This book had my eyes glued to it, I could not walk away until it was done. I'd just like to say that i feel he is a very brilliant man, and talented, my whole family loves to read his books, I'd even read them twice, they are that good. I'd have to say that The Funhouse and The Key To Midnight are the best books he has ever written, although they are all well wrote.

Summary: one of Koontz's better works
Review: Could have been better but I still got scared toward the end. Very creepy and scary and if you like being creeped out, you will like this one. canivals give me the creeps anyways. if you like carivals too, check out "lightning" i think, something like that. You know you have read too many Dean Koontz books when you can't even keep them straight anymore. lol (=

Summary: Not a good representation of Koontz!
Review: This is one of about 10 of his books I have read. I have greatly enjoyed his other books but this one seemed very shallow. Normally he writes extremely well thought characters - on both sides. But with this book you couldn't understand anyone except maybe the little boy. Don't read this as a first time Koontz. He states he wanted to show the reality of the carnival life - he does that okay but fails with the people.

Summary: THE Second WORST KOONTZ I HAVE READ!
Review: Don't get me wrong I am a big Dean Koontz fan but this is the second worst book I have read by him. It almost made me think that I was reading a Stephen King book. I think this book was a waste of time and money. If you are new to Koontz DON'T read this book. It will scare you away from a usually masterful writer.

Summary: I hope much more horror...
Review: and its argument is predictable... but I like it... 'cause there is something in its pages that I can't describe.

Summary: Typical, but a novel
Review: This novel, to me, is pretty typical. Just the whole circus bit. But, overall, I enjoyed the book and I wouldn't mind reading it again. This is my first and only read novel by Koontz (still searching for other thriller/horror writers) and I think it was pretty good. I would recommend it as a beginner book to readers who are just starting the thriller/horror journey.

Summary: One of the worst books I've read this year!
Review: My first Koontz novel was a big let down. It reminded me of a summer teen horror flick. After all I've heard of Dean Koontz I really was expecting more than this. Hopefully, his other novels are a big improvement over "The Funhouse."

Summary: Too long for me!
Review: I'm only thirteen but love Dean Koontz,I think this was the only book I didn't like.He didn't make real clear what was going on in the begining with the baby and the drunk woman.I don't recomend this to younger readers but mabey if I was older I would like it and understand it more then I would give it a better rateing.

Summary: Waste of time!!
Review: This is the first Dean Koontz book I have ever read. I could almost picture him sitting and saying "just let me get something down and meet my deadline". The dialog was so juvenile! Horrible and don't waste your money or your time on this book. I understand that some of his work is better. I sure HOPE SO!

Summary: IT IS A MUST READER!**
Review: My name is Jessica Williams. I am a 7th grader at CMS (Cadillac Middle School). We had to pick a author of a book that we enjoyed, and I decided to pick you. I have read many of your books. The one that I have read recently is,The Funhouse, and I really enjoyed it. Every chapter was a real cliff-hanger. I had a hard time trying to put the book down. I thought that some of the parts in the book,The Funhouse were gruesome. Ialso am starting your book,Mr. Murder, and I think that it's wonderful. So far, all the books that I have read of yours are excellent. I'm looking forward to forward to reading your next book or books you come out with. Through all and all, I think that you are one of the best authors of the books that I have read so far. I hope that you come out with many more best-seller books like, The Funhouse and ,The Key to Midnight. Good-luck with your writing!
