Rating: Summary: Wow..... Review: I read The Season of Passage about a month ago, and absolutely loved it. Since then, I have not been able to get the story out of my mind! I have read probably 20 books by Christopher Pike, and this one is, by far, his best. Words cannot describe how incredibly well-written this book was... I never wanted to put it down. And when i was finished, I just kinda sat there... sad that it was over. If you havent already, BUY THIS BOOK!! It is the BEST!!!! The Season Of Passage deserves 10 stars, not just 5.
Rating: Summary: Simply amazing Review: I'm not going to try and describe what I think of this book in words, because to do so would do an injustice to the book itself. I just have to say that this is, by far, the best book I have ever read, and it should be read by everyone, no matter who you are, or where you have come from.
Rating: Summary: Words can not describe Review: Just like my title, words can not describe the feelings and emotions that which Pike explodes into you. I was 16 when I read this book and I am now 18 and I've read it so many times, that I have to buy another one.Just like the reader from Mn, I too, was looking over my shoulder and jumping at EVERY noise I heard. I love and adore this book. Towards the end, you kinda get into the frame of mind Pike was in. Or at least I did and I was able to predict what was about to happen to Dr Wagner's sister at the cabin. I just knew. After reading this book I haven't looked at Mars, or outterspace the same. If ANYTHING this book did the EXACT opposite of what it did for others. It made me even more curious about outterspace and the human expedition to Mars. What is out there? Is there life out there on the red planet? If so, who and what are they and are they ANYTHING like the beings in the book??? This book make me wonder more than I have ever before. I want to go to Mars and I want to discover for myself, what exactly is out there. If you are even thinking about buying this book, it is well worth it. You will never think of outerspace quite the same. It is exhilerating and words do not describe it at all.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book. Review: This book was really great. It was a futuristic horror novel that explored the possibility of life on Mars. And it made me hope that there isn't life on Mars! It was so creepy that I kept looking over my shoulder and jumped at any noises while I was reading. The plot was complex and well developed and the characters seemed real. I highly recommend A Season of Passage.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good! Review: I have read a lot of Christopher Pike books. He bumms me out sooooo much. One thing I have learned about Christopher Pike is to never read the back of the book or pay attention to the Title or Cover. It is never what it says it is. This book was good. I don't understand Christopher Pike's infatuation with reincarnation and time travel. Season of Passage leaves me speechless. I am afraid of Mars. When I would finally put the book down, my perception of reality would totally be gone. I had to keep reading it, eventhough I did not like the place that it took me. It was very scary. Being 16, I am afraid of some things, but after this book, I never looked at outerspace the same again......
Rating: Summary: A timeless, yet not ageless, masterpiece. Review: Christopher Pike has truly outdone himself with this piece. This is by far the best book that I have ever read. The combination of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi left me wondering whether I should be afraid or breathless. The emotions this powerful story evokes cross the whole spectrum of human feeling. I walked away from this book literally drained, and yet exhilirated. I would not encourage this novel for a younger reader, however. I found myself sleeping with the night light on and I certainly would not want my daughter being haunted by the vivid imagery. A must read for all Pike fans, and anyone else that is able to be swept away by a good storyline.
Rating: Summary: This was by far the best book I`ve ever read Review: This book has the perfect amount of science fiction, blended together with pure horror to make a truely intriging story line. I didn`t know the outcome untill the very last page. I could`nt fall asleep at night afterwards.
Rating: Summary: The Season of passage is is all time greatest book ever Review: Once I opened the book i did'nt put it down until i was finished reading it. and I Loved every chapter in the book it pulled me into the story like no other book ever had. Even now i can't stop thinking about how good it was. I would recomend this book to any horror/ fantasy reader it truly is a great book.
Rating: Summary: This book was the best book I've ever read! Review: I loved this book. I'm a huge fan of all Pike's writings. This is my all time favorite! It had a great plot and always kept you turning pages never knowing what was just around the next bend. You never knew what's going to happen next and just when you think that it can't get any worse it does. I found the ending very sad and it took a lot to hold back the tears. I like how Jennifer turns out to be like a God. I also like how he connected the story Jennifer was writing to what was happening although you didn't know that at first. I thought it was an overall wonderful book and would reccomend it to anyone over the age of 14!
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!! Review: I had just finished reading Christopher Pike's The Listeners and was amazed at his ability to discover the things that can make people think about the subject matter well afterwards when i picked up the Season of Passage at the library. Needless to say, I couldn't put it down. The plot with the Sastra and the Asurians was perfectly molded with Lauren and Jennifer. And i also noticed some coincidences between this book and the Listener's plot, how there were ancient civilizations that existed before the human race. The Season of Passage deserves a place in every horror/sci fi lovers book collection. No one will be dissatisfied after completion.
