Rating: Summary: Possibly the best Pike book ever written Review: This is possibly the best book i have ever read in my life! When I finished the first chapter, I just couldn't put it down. Pike's books usually have that affect on me but This book was just amazingly written. The characters seemed to fade in and out of reality and the ideas and acts were mastered beautifully. I really loved how he included a frame setting, like a story inside a story. This book deserves 10 stars! I strongly urge you to read it, you won't be dissapointed
Rating: Summary: Wonder how this book escaped major prizes and movie. Great. Review: I used to buy Christopher Pike books for my young daughter. I picked up this one at a used book store and thought I would read it before I gave it to her. Too late! She will have to get her own copy. Very well written and somebody ought to make a movie out of it. Highly recommend to anybody. Hard to pigeonhole. Is it sci-fi? Is it horror? Whatever it is, buy it and read it.
Rating: Summary: intense book! Review: I just got finished with the book and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I wasn't sure what was going to happen to the main character in the end. Oh...if you want to be amazed and terrified (in a good way) go get this book. It also gives some interesting aspects into the theory of evolution!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST! Review: I have read almost all Pikes books, and every one I would say is a killer, but this one, it stands out. It is by far the most interesting, in depth novel about not only Space, but human thoughts on it. I loved it! This book you'll read again and again so GO OUT AND BUY IT!
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Storytelling Review: I too, have grown up with Pike's books. This, by far is his best book. The way the story is so interwoven and complex is amazing. It truly invoked feelings of terror, heartbreak, suspense, and wonder as i turned the pages. I've read this book many times, and every time i read it, i can always find more details i never noticed. I would definately recommend it to anyone who is drawn to mystery, space, and legends.
Rating: Summary: Left me Speechless.... Review: I have grown up with Christopher Pike's books and have read all of them to date. But this book is by far the best one yet. Pike is good at taking information and ideas and putting them in ways that we can relate to. This book was frightening and exciting. i would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a a good horror novel.
Rating: Summary: Frightening. Exceptional novel. Review: Truly frightening lore involving a mission to Mars, a war among the gods of Eden and Azure, and some strange connection to vampires. Much better than Pike's other novels which were mostly retarded horror stories for ten year olds akin to RL Stine's books. But this one I liked.
Rating: Summary: Pike fan growing up... Review: I grew up reading Christopher Pike books and when Season of Passage came out, I was thrilled that his novels were growing up with me. I've read this book several times now and I'm still stunned by his storytelling abilities. I think Pike is an extraordinarily gifted writer and his narrative skills/dialogue are excellent. I was really hopeful that he would continue writing in the adult genre realm and I've quite disappointed that he seems to be concentrating so heavily on the kiddie stuff. Regardless, Season of Passage still remains a favorite--read it!
Rating: Summary: What a read!!!!!!! Review: Pike really hits form in this superb mixture of sci-fi and suspense. I didn't want it to end, but when it did I turned back to page one and started reading it again. Well Done C.Pike.
Rating: Summary: Christopher Pike's best book ever! Review: I wish Pike would focus more on his adult books as I think Season of Passage is his best book to date. His excellent characterization and use of humor are in full force, and, as ever, it gives you the shivers while reading it. The people are completely believable and likable and--the miraculous part is-- that, somehow, the horror part is realistic as well. I recommend it to any Pike fan as well as anyone else who loves to laugh outloud and then be in utter suspense a few pages later.
