Summary: The Season of Passage
Review: I'm not usually into sci-fi books, but I read The Season of Passage and I loved it! It didn't seem like a sci-fi book to me. It was more horror and suspense. The first time I read it I stayed up until I just couldn't read anymore because I was so tired. I couldn't put it down. When I read it the second time, and I usually don't read books more than once, I still couldn't put it down. The story is really good. I would recommend it to anyone who likes horror and suspense books. There is some explicit language, but overall it is an excellent book.

Review: Pike is an amazing author, as demonstrated again in this work of mastery. His characters come to life in me like few others have. This book is amazing, beginning to pull you in as you read the first page and taking you on a magical trek through time and space until leaving you in the end, feeling as though you had almost lived it. Pike's writing is more descriptive than a photograph, he has a way of drawing you into the depths of evil, while showing the unbreakable strength of love and humanity. A must read.

Summary: Season Of Passage: A GREAT book!
Review: This book is a fantastic read for someone interested in science fiction books! It is about a woman who goes to mars, and finds something a little more than scary there. I don't wanna ruin the plot, so I guess you will have to find out what it is by actually reading the book. ^_^ It really is a good book. It has a bit of language (if my memory serves me correctly), but is an altogther fantastic read! Keeps you reading until the last, and then some! (This is not a clifhanger, for those people that hate clifhangers. ^_^)

Summary: Good concept, bad execution
Review: A United States shuttle is sent to Mars to help retrieve another vessel. The end result is terrifying. Visit The Midnight Club website, and this will be the novel they talk about most. I was the only one that did not care for it too much. The characters are great, and the concept is powerful, but it all becomes contrived in the end. Jen Wagner's story about an ancient world would have been the perfect story without relating it to the present. Thanks to Jen's story, I am adding one star to my rating.

Summary: The author is seriously ill.
Review: Everyone gets hurt or dies violently in Christopher Pikes books. I'm in high school, but if I had teens, I wouldn't encourage them to read this stuff. Books that make sense to me are HOLES by Louis Sachar, or The CHOCOLATE WARS, or SIGHTS by Susanna Vance. They have excitement without gore.

Summary: Far and beyond the best book I've read....
Review: Pike is a genius, of that there is no doubt. This book is phenomanal. I was given this book as a "prom present" (if there is such a thing) when I was 16, and I can't count how many times I've read it since then--and passed it around for others to read. (Matter of fact I couldn't wait to get home from the prom to get started on it.) I would recommend it for any age. Pike really isn't just a YA writer. It's an over used praise they use on books, but I can say it honestly about this one--you won't be able to put it down. You'll read it over and over again.

Summary: in a word...wow
Review: I've been a fan of Christopher Pike for years and this book took my respect for him to new heights. I had gotten used to his unexpected plots to the point where I actually expected them but this one had me guessing. I laughed, I cried. The characters were lovable, hatable, everything in between and both at the same time. I've read it a number of times and I still find myself on the edge of my chair. If you buy no other book, buy this one.

Summary: One of the best books Pike has written
Review: The Season Of Passage was one of the greatest books I have ever read. A combination of Sci-fi,fantasy, and horror, made this book incredible. America sends up the first manned mission to Mars to investigate pictures of huge footprints the martian lander sent. Once up there they check out the remains of the Russian mission that had failed. Once up there, strange things start happening to the martian crew, including finding one of the Russian crew member still alive in his bunk! I've read this book 8 times and I still love it!
