Rating: Summary: An entraling tale for the mind and heart Review: Pike's Season of Passage is a high quality well-written tale that will enter the heart mind and soul and linger there long after you put the 600 page book down. Pike spins a web of mystery, love, hate, and the quest for knowledge of other worlds. It is surprisingly a fanasty, science-fiction, and obsessive love story all put together with such talent that you turn each page fearing what is on the next but seemingly never being able to put it down. The views of Pike may seem unbelievable but makes you think they could happen. This book has my vote for a noble prize, it has all the key elements of a great and mind-boggling story. Pike is in a class of his own
Rating: Summary: it IS too good to put into words, Review: its going to be hard to fit my review into this tiny space but here goes:imagine the best thing that could ever happen to you and the feeling you would get and then multiply that feeling by a hundred and you still wouldnt be close to how good this makes you feel. it is not some lame horror made to make you look under the bed but instead it makes you sit back and think about life. this book deals with space travel, love, religion and hatred all at once and is quite literally the best book anyone could EVER read.for all those who have not read it i urge you to soon for you dont know how much you are missing.for all those who think this book is crap(and that honestly cant be many)well, lets just say, that i would kill myself now as you wont get much out of life with such a screwed up judgement.to say one more thing about this truly amazing book would be that no-one can expect to read it without laughing a little, crying a lot and wondering how easy it would be to kill christopher pike's wife(if he has one!).from a true cp fan(14
Rating: Summary: IN FOUR WORDS.. WOW!! READ IT NOW!! Review: I picked the book at first because of the cover and what the "voice" said. This book just took my breath away, and I was dumbfounded. I kept asking myself, "what will happen next?" I was astounded by the way Pike was able to give such a great discription of how Mars could have been where we were first, and the way her sister tied in, wow. It was as if I was really there, under the surface of Mars, finding the Russian ship, back on Earth awaiting Lauren's arival. And with Lauren being against her sister in a combat which resulted in death, I was just there... If you ever have 5 min of spare time, start the book, but don't have any immediate things to do because you will be hooked on this book!
Rating: Summary: Christopher Pike is the God of all authors! Review: The Season of Passage is one of Pike's best novels, but than again, all of Pike's novels are the best. I am the biggest die hard fan of Pike, and my ultimate goal in life is to marry him. He's brilliant, he's funny, and he's very scary. Reading some of the previous reveiws, I became quite upset. Ecspeacially about the one where one wrote that Pike has matured and all that... Well, whoever wrote that is full of shit. She said she started reading Pike when she was 7 0r 8... I really beleive that!! All of his books before two yrs ago had been written for the teen genre, and even so, they were all very mature and intelligent. She also said The Season of Passage had been sitting on her shelf since she was that old and didn't read in until recently... does she realize this book was just recently published? Don't listen to that garbage - if you pick up a Pike book you will be amazed and will never stop reading him. He is the BEST, simply the best! I think it should be mandatory law for everyone to read him, because if you don't than your really missing out. His books aren't just BOO horrors, they teach about love, about death, about religion, about life. His philosophies are mind blowing and enjoyable. Too birlliant to put him in words. Christopher Pike is the most wonderful man alive, as are his books
Rating: Summary: HORRENDOUSLY HORRIFYING! Review: The first time I've read Mr. Pike's books, it scared me. But after Season of Passage, it did not only scared my inner being, it became one of the best horror-fiction book I've ever read! It's so unimaginable! You'll never think about it possibly written unless you read it yourself
Rating: Summary: The most terrifying book I have ever read! Review: Christopher Pike has definately outdone himself this time. I have enjoyed every book of his that I have ever read, but none of them even compare to The Season of Passage. It is quite possibly the most terrifying book you will ever read.
The book is about a woman astronaut and her journey to Mars to find out what happened to the Russian cosmonauts that went before her and never returned. It also includes a subplot that explains our fasination with the planet. This is a must read. It left me stunned and fascinated. You will not be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: The Season Of Passage Review: This book was absolutely amazing. Pike wrapped fantasy, science fiction, and horror together to create one fantastic piece of work and finished it off with a surprising ending. I loved it, my friends loved it, and I'm sure you will too
Rating: Summary: The best, SCARIEST, book in the world!! Review: This book is the best I have ever read. I am one of
Pike's biggest fans, and am constantly waiting for him
to release new books. This is definitly his best book ever.
I don't know how he could possibly write anything more exciting.
Rating: Summary: Pike at his best! Review: I think this is one of Christopher Pike's best novels. I have read it 4 times already. Pike definitely has a way with words. I don't recommend reading this book just before you go to bed at night. :
Rating: Summary: READ IT ! ! ! (Unless you work for NASA...) Review: This time around, Christopher Pike has written a masterpiece, a story within a story, an intricately woven plot with a completely different setting. This novel is well written (with the exception of one line..."forgetting for one moment that she was Queen of the Earth") and has great emotional impact. Pike has a great eye for detail. A highly entertaining read if you like quality fiction (especially if you are a Pike fan), but not recommended for any space crew...
