Rating: Summary: Good, depending on your reading maturity Review: Well, I couldn't put this book down. I thought that Pike could have done a better job with the ending. This has not caused me to hate the book, however. I enjoy Pike's Storytelling style, so I strongly suggest this book.
Rating: Summary: Christoper Pike. Need one say more? Review: I have read every Christopher Pike book ever written, from young adult to adult and they were all terrific. They were better than terrific they were excellent. Pike has a way of telling a story that completely absorbs the reader in such a way that when you get to the last page its like snapping out of a trance. When I read Season of Passage, the world could have ended around me I would not have known. I am definetly one of his biggest fans.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN Review: This is one of the best books I,ve ever read. I can't say that it is the best because I hated Jennifer Wagner(Chaneen) and I think that she should've died insted of Lauren Wagner(Janier?). I think that it was her fault that Lauren and Janier died and the Sastra became mortals. Jennifer even say it while talking to Terry on the phone.("From the beginning," she said sadly, "it was my fault."). I still loved this book even if the ending was a disaster.
Rating: Summary: Thrilling Review: I read this book a year ago, and still the I remember everything that happened in this book. The story was really chilling and horrific. The part when Terry is about to be confronted by the changed Lauren is truly chilling. I was reluctant to sleep with the lights off for weeks afterwards, I was so disgruntled.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book I Have Ever Read Review: I love this book. It made me feel as though I was walking on Mars with Lauren, Gary, and Jim; grieving on Earth with Terry; and fighting the monsters with all of them. While reading this book I felt sadness, anger, happiness, shock, betrayal, and horror. Never before have I felt such a wide range of emotions just by reading a book. How Christopher Pike describes how Mars become a desolate and barren world and what the human race was like in the beginning is truly amazing. Exceptionally well written with characters your will fall in love with. A spine tingling, back prickling and bone chilling work of art.
Rating: Summary: wont let you sleep at night, or live on daylight Review: Simply the best horror book you can read, it envolves horror, love, friendship and fantasy. It opens up your mind for stuff you never thought about, our future, our planet and our galaxy, we dont really know anything about the universe, not as much as we think. wont definately let you sleep and you will never forget this book.
Rating: Summary: Intrigue and wonderment cannot describe the author's aspect Review: I thought that no author could of describe the evil and horror in this book as well as Pike. He opened another window of thoughts fo me, mars may not just be a planet of sullen and desertment. I definitely recommend this novel for anyone open to imagination, it could take you places.
Rating: Summary: Truly inspiring and more emotionally touching than any book. Review: The Season of Passage was by far the greatest book I've ever read. It really touches a person deep down, making one feel deeply for each character. The story of how the Mars we know came to be is utterly amazing. It really makes a person want to believe that that is what actually happened. The horror instilled into the very fibers of one's soul is so paralyzing that one cannot (literally) put the book down. Each occurence leaves the reader more enthralled and curious about what's going to happen next that all time is totally lost until the reader's eyes can't take any more. Christopher Pike is very talented and also my favorite author (I own every one of his books), but I know absolutely nothing about him except what is said in the "About the Author" section. I would at least like to know what he looks like, or what his real name is, or just anything that removes some of the obscurity from my opinion of this astonishing writer.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Written! Review: I had read some of Pikes books directed at a younger audience and saw this and picked it up. The emotions that ran through me the first time that I read it were incredible. I feel in love with some characters, gagged when Lauren first found Carl, I felt her horror when she found out just exactly what she had fed her best friend. This book actually made me stop and think, it terrified me as no other book ever has. It is the best novel that I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: To laugh to cy, to scream, to sigh, to hate, to love to READ Review: I read this book three years ago. Since then, I have read manyother books, but NONE of them have measured up to the power of theSeason of Passage. As I was reading, I went through all the emotions possible. Let me say this: I am not easily movied my books. But with the Season of Passage, I went from utterly frightened to angry. And my heart would ache and tears would form when the book was sad. No other book has had such an impact on me. I recommend it for ANYONE, regardless of favorite genre; it's all in this book.
