Rating: Summary: I have a new FAVORITE book Review: ...and this is it! I agree with Stephen King, "I loved it"! It starts a little slowly but don't give up; hold on for an amazing ride through the supernatural. Well done Ms. Due!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites! Review: I actually read this book in 1998. It was so compelling and gripping that I found it hard to put down. The prologue grabs you and pulls you in and there is no return. Unlike most books, each character will forever be etched in your mind! Not only does it keep the reader turning pages but it leaves you wanting more.
Rating: Summary: Will be known as an all time great author Review: This book was so gripping, I read it in a couple of days. I don't usually read supernatural books, but I loved it. Ms. Due is to be commended for writing such a visual and detailed novel. It's obvious she is a great researcher.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC! Review: A perfect 10! Every emotion imaginable is captured in the story. I have recommended this book to all my friends and my book club. Everyone gave it rave reviews. Keep up the good work.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read! Review: My Soul To Keep I had received as a birthday present and the giver said "I know you're into Stephen King and he gave great reviews about this novel, READ IT!" I couldn't put this book down from the first page. Don't we all want a "David"? What can we say? If you need a story line to get you started "David" is an immortal. More than 400 hundred years ago he and a sect of Ethiopian scholars traded their souls 4 eternal life. Interested? My Dad couldn't wait to read this when I told him about it and HE doesn't READ books like Stephen King or that nature etc... We can't wait to read Tananarive's 1st book "The Between" and we hope we will be as stuck on that book as this!
Rating: Summary: Spellbinding and suspenseful Review: "My Soul to Keep" is one of our all time favorite books. We are re-reading it and recommending it to everyone we know. Ms. Due tells an unbelievable story in a believable manner. It is a haunting tale that stays with you long after you've completed the book. We look forward to more books by this author.
Rating: Summary: This is a beautiful book filled with mystery and suspense. Review: From the moment I read this book I could (did not) want to put it down. The worst part about the book was it some it had to end. My husband (who reads technical books) upon my suggestion read it and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was very interested in ready other works by Mrs. Due so I read "The Between". I must say I did not enjoy this a much as "My Soul To Keep"
Rating: Summary: Very, very interesting. Review: Hello, from Brooklyn, New York,Ms. Due, I ENJOYED your book. A story very well thought out. Rich character studies, strong black characters. Very touching, my connection to Dawit, Jessica, "Teacake," was real. Have you ever heard the term, "yes, I'm feeling it." Ms. Due, we have a saying that goes, "Girl, I'm scared of you!" I anxiously await your next book. (I'm reading The Between now, and feel I can write a review and I'm not even finished.)
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: This book was both fascinating and wonderful! I was so captivated that I couldn't put it down. Tananarive Due took the reader on mysterious yet joyous ride. I can't wait for the next book!
