Summary: The best Vampire book I have ever read.
Review: Laughing Corspe was very interesting. I love the part when I first read about Jean-Claude. All in all I think that Anita Blake is one tough chick.

Review: This is the first Anita Blake book, and it's GREAT! As soon as I saw this book, I just Had to buy it. I'm glad I did! This is the best vampire book I have read in a long time. Anita is a kick-@** character, and Jean-Claude is just plain hot! I recommend this book to everyone! Keep it up Ms. Hamilton!

Summary: Watch Out Lestat !
Review: Talk about guilty pleasures. This book was wonderful ! It's great to have such a strong female protaganist. I think it's one of the best genre novels I've read in a long time. Ms. Hamilton has a wicked sense of humor and a creative streak to be envied. Anita seems so normal in abnormal circumstances. Jean-Claude is to die for, literally. I've recommended this book to everyone I know, regardless of whether or not they read horror fiction. May Anita Blake have a life as immortal Jean-Claude.

Summary: LOVE THAT ANITA!!!!!
Review: I read this book in a record 2 and 1/2 hours. And I kept getting interupted by my girls. Anita Blake is as tough as they come and twice as deadly. Only one question: Is there a prequell to "Guilty Pleasures" cause they keep refering to things that happened to Anita and Edward before this book. If there isn't one, PLEASE, MS. HAMILTON, WRITE ONE SOON. To anyone that hasn't read this series yet, Buy it. Read it. You won't regret it, promise.

Summary: you'll scream. . .with laughter that is
Review: Sorry that was kind of corney, but this book is the perfect combination of humor and horror. Anita Blake is a real 90's kind of girl who doesn't shudder at vampire killings but still can be real sexy. Her only problem is that the master vampire of the city, Jean Claude, has the hots for her, and she kinda liks him but as she says "I don't date vampires. i kill them." right? This book has great characters and a fun story line. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down

Summary: What a terrific new series
Review: I've been looking at the Anita Blake series in my local bookstore, and finally broke down and bought "Guilty Pleasures". Boy, was I glad I did. It's not often that you find an author who can combine a great sense of the macbre with a terrific sense of humor. If you're looking for a sassy heroine, with a wicked sense of humor and a 1940's style film noir feel, then this is definitely the series for you. She has some terrific characters; Jean-Claude, who has the hots for Anita, Nicolau, the master of the city, the Wererats that inhabit the sewers of St. Louis, etc. And to top it all off, it takes place in St. Louis, an city that you normally wouldn't think of as a center of vampirism. All in all, it's a terrific read and great fun

Summary: More Vampiric fun Than You Can Shake a Stake At
Review: What a fun read this was! Anita Blake is not your average vampire killer/animator. She's a petite, zombie-raising, undead-slaughtering badass with a heart of steel and a conscience the size of the great outdoors. This is the first entry in a series that keeps getting better and better. Our feisty animator finds herself unwillingly helping the undead discover just who has been killing the vampires of St. Louis, while contending with a psychotic waif of a Master Vampire, fending off the amorous advances of yet another vamp (the very sexy Jean-Claude) and trying to get a good night's sleep. Did I mention the wererats? I devoured this book in one sitting (no pun intended, really) and immediately went in search of the other books. I highly recommend this series for those who like their dark, urban fantasy with a leavening of snide humor. Hmmm, I just had an idea... What, I wonder, would happen if Anita met up with Vicky "Victory" Nelson and Diana Tregarde? I would looove to be a fly on the wall at THAT meeting! Summary: HILLARIOUS, GREAT READ, GREAT FUN
Review: What happens when you mix humor, horror, sarcasm, myth, mystery and a quick wit. . . Alot and Anita seems to be knee deep in the middle of it. I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. I was laughing out loud and gripping the edge of my seat at the same time. If vampires are your thing then this is for you

Summary: One tough lady in a city full of monsters
Review: "I don't date vampires. I kill them." Or so Anita Blake says. Of course, the vampires have something to say about this... Laurell Hamilton moves the action along and gets to her point in the intial turnout of a whole series of excellent urban fantasy. She populates her story with tough, funny characters who seem to walk off the page. Of course, probably not the best book to read if you have nightmares....
