Summary: Great book, awesome series!
Review: This series was recommended to me by a friend, and I still thank him everyday. The characters are unbelievable, starting by Anite Blake herself. She's strong, willful, sexy, and fierce. If anything, this series, unlike most others, gets better with everybook Laurell K. Hamilton writes. The characters are complex, and the plot couldn't be better! This is the second time that I've read the series, and I keep on undigging different things that i missed the first time around in my haste to find out what new conflict, monster, or admirers the author will throw at Anita's character. Great book! I think everyone should read this one.

Summary: A Gulity Pleasues itself.
Review: Gulity Pleasures is not the kind of vampire book that you usually read. It is not nearly the quality of an Anne Rice novel (save Memnoch) but it had charm. It started off terribly for the first 30 or 40 pages, but it gained a lot of steam and I found myself really liking Anita Blake. I am going to read the second book, The Laughing Corpes, because I have read that it is much better than this one. A good quick read, but not a classic.

Summary: Comedy, violence and Monsters all rolled into one
Review: I have always thought it would be kinda cool to be a Vampire, but after reading how Anita Blake deals with them I quickly changed my mind. This was a fantastic read for me and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. The characters in this book are unforgetable and Hamilon has really created something that she should be proud of. I am now a devoted member of all Hamilton's work. Read this book now, its Fan-BLOODY-tastic.

Summary: This is one of the best books i've ever read!!
Review: I usually don't read science fiction, I'm a romance reader. But, I always like a twist - either vampires or time travel. The Anita Blake series is great!! I can't put any of them down...I read three of them in three days!! I would reccommend these books to anyone...and I have!! These are all great books, and you have to read them all!!!

Summary: Got me hooked!
Review: I suffered through the Anne Rice angst phenomenon, so I was hesitant to read another vampire book. Tough broad mystery cliches also bore me. I thank all that is holy I took a chance on this series. I read the first seven books in seven days. When I convinced fellow readers to give Anita Blake a try, they also read the entire series in a week. Few books elicit suspense and humor as frequently as these.

Grab them up as fast as you can!

Summary: Best book ever
Review: I loved this book! It's different, gritty and in your face. Anita is one little lady you don't want to mess with-especially if you're a vampire.

Summary: ABSOLUTELY must read!
Review: A mixture of horror and tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, Laurel K. Hamilton brings the world of magic and the undead into the 20th century. Written in the first person, the book takes you on a journey where Anita Blake, animator and Vampire Executioner, gets entangled in the world of vampires and zombies. And entangled with Jean-Claude, master vampire. Only the first book in a series, each book can stand on its own, but this is the book that starts it all. A must-read that must be followed by the others in the series!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best one in the series
Review: This book, along with The Laughing Corpse and Circus of the Damned, are the best in the whole Anita Blake series. When Anita was innocent and couldn't brag about all her little accomplishments. And when Jean-Claude wasn't master of all. The Laughing Corpse was just as good, but the first will always be the best. This one will always be my favorite.

Summary: A vampire tale with a twist!!
Review: This book was recommended to me by some other vampire tale affecionados that I know. And I'm glad they did.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am planning on reading the entire series. I've already bought them!!

The villains were great bad guys (I like my villains to be really evil), the supporting characters were interesting, the premise of the story was original, and the book moved along at a really good clip. It also avoided a bunch of theological mumble jumble regarding vampires which was very refreshing after reading Anne Rice's last few novels (I couldn't even finish the last one).

I hope Ms. Hamilton decides to write some more sequels to this series. It's great!!

Summary: Best series I've ever read
Review: Wow! These books are phenominal. The characters are rich and the pace is non stop. It's a perfect mix between humor and horror (and I didn't think humor belongs in horror - guess I was wrong). The best series of books I have ever read.
