Rating: Summary: Good vs. Evil Review: This is another great VC Andrews book where basically good vs. evil. However, in this book, it didn't seem that good won out. We did however get a good look into the life of grandmother Culter who we met in the first two Cutler novels and get some back ground on her life. Why she became who she was...
It was a very good read, giving us readers a chance to actually get to like grandmother Cutler- who we all hated previously. There are moments in this novel that are so horrifying, you will be shocked. The whole time I was reading, I just wanted to get to the end and reach the conclusion I was waiting for.
Overall I enjoyed the Cutler series. I'd recommend it to teenagers and adults alike, if you like a good juicy, fun read.
Rating: Summary: oh please! Review: this is the worst V.C. andrews book written. the story was drab, uninteresting and the ending sucked! the whole book was rushed. she could have spared us by leaving this novel entirely out of the series. it felt like this book was written for the sake of adding another book to the series.
Rating: Summary: disturbing but good Review: this is truly one of the darkest (pun intended) novels written by VCA. poor Lillian is messed up her whole life and doesn't seem to deserve it!! You truly feel soo sorry for her once you read this instead of hating her in the previous books. but it does not explain why she came out the way she did!!
Rating: Summary: Be Touched by this Book Review: This was one of the first actual novels I read, I loved it then as much as I love today. It has a modern day Dickens element to it that is unsurpassable. This book makes you feel, think, become the character. I love the dark characters and setting. If you read this book you must read the rest of the series to observe the evolution of Lillian. Read it, love it , and cherish it.
