Rating: Summary: This book is more like a short story than a novel... Review: This like i said is more a short story than a novel, but a very good short story at that... The illustrations might make it look like a kid's book, but the actual story changes these thoughts...overall it is a very good book.
Rating: Summary: NOT ONE OF HIS BETTER WORKS Review: READ THIS BOOK IN A COUPLE HOURS. STORY WAS GOOD BUT NOT UP TO THE USUAL KING STANDARDS.NICE PICTURES.PREDICTABLE STORY LINE. GOOD FOR A QUICK READ.
Rating: Summary: Not bad...but definitely not his best Review: I love ANYTHING Stephen King puts out no matter how bad others may think it is. Although it's true that CYCLE could practically be a children's book with its very short content and pictures, the story is entertaining and the artwork is dazzling and fitting nonetheless. Written in a truely classic horror fashion, KING takes readers back to how vintage horror used to be. He avoids the complexities found in most of his works and gives his readers something simple yet pleasurable.
Rating: Summary: Scaaarryy! Review: At first sight, the title appears to imply an academic treatise of sorts on lycanthropes and lycanthropy. With Cycle, King has deviated from convention and adopted a unique approach to the telling of the lycanthrope's tale: the werewolf in question did not come about as a result of the bite of a werewolf, but had simply....happened, there being no reason for it. In typical style, King has also not shied from using the most gruesome and horrendous of descriptions and scenarios in writing Cycle, and the hero comes in the most unlikely form of a crippled 10-year old. Cycle makes for a most enjoyable and thrilling read.
Rating: Summary: Good old fashion horror, but not long enough to be that cool Review: i liked it because it was old fashion, but it was too short and not scary so that was a let down but it's still cool that i can say i read it.
Rating: Summary: dissapointing Review: When I got done with this book I thought Stephen King had decided he wanted to write a children's book. The only thing that stops me from believing this are the bits of gore that were thrown in. Other than that it is certainly short enough, and predictable enough to entertain children if no-one else.
Rating: Summary: great illustrations Review: Although it is not one of his best, I really enjoyed the book. True, it is a litte too predictable, but it's Stephen King---how cold I not love it? The only problem was there seemed to be too much emphasis on the artwork, and not enough on the actual story. All in all, I thought it was very good, and I would recommend it to any one who hasn't had the chance to read it yet.
Rating: Summary: Nice pictures Review: The story is good, but the reason you want to buy this instead of any other King-book, is bacuse of the pictures. They are pure class.
Rating: Summary: UNIMPRESSED Review: I've read almost all of King's books, and I find this one to be predictable, boring, and - if I may - not of the same caliber as others such as Christine, IT, and Cujo.
Rating: Summary: Descriptive pictures Review: I liked the pictures and I think that it was a good story, no matter what anyone else thinks.
