Summary: Good, but not up to her potential
Review: I love the way she made an immortal mummy so beleivable, at first I thought it couldn't be done but I was gladly proven wrong. I just didn't think the book was up to Rice's potential. I have read all her Vampire Chronicles except The Vampire Armand and those are far better. I think the problem was not with her story line but with the characters. Julie was supposed to be a strong and couragious character, yet she was weak and cried every other page, not to mention the fact that she screamed for Ramses when ever she was afraid instead of handling things herself. She was a dramtic, airheaded female that cried for her tan boyfriend to come save her when things didn't go her way, clinging to his arm as much as possible. Ramses himself was awesome yet it seemed like he got immortality for nothing, he does not need to sleep, and had no need to consume anything, and could not be killed by ANY means. What is the point of a character's immortality if it does not come with a price?

Review: I couldn't put the book down for one second. It kept me hooked till the end and then I wanted more. Please Anne write the sequel to this fine book!!

Summary: Wow. To put it simply- wow.
Review: This novel is easily the most unreal, scary, romantic, and captivating story I have ever read. This book has all the elements of a good story- suspense, romance, horror, and drama. It easily surpasses all the books I have ever read by far. You won't be able to put it down!

Summary: Masterful, I want more!!!

Summary: This was..
Review: The absolute greatest book ever written. I need the sequel! Has Anne Rice even considered writting a sequel? If she did, it would be a instant best seller.

Summary: Love makes man return from the dead!
Review: This is an incredible love story. While Anne Rice is a masterful storyteller, by far this is her best novel. Having literally read everything she has written, the Mummy is the one that I just could not put down and have reread twice. She paints pictures with words and this novel is indeed a masterpiece...... Michelangelo's Judgment Day if you will....love, passion, intrigue, suspense, drama. It is well worth losing a night's sleep over. The vampire novels are magnificent, and the Mayfair witches intriguing, but this novel is so rich that it far and beyond surpasses everything else she has written. It is a highly recommended read. My copy has fallen apart from having loaned it out so many times...and I always have to ask for it back. My only question is when will we hear from Ramses again?

Summary: Best book I've ever read!!!!!!!
Review: I was devestated that I wasn't there. It is the kind of book that makes you regret that you have reached the last page. Please, please, please!!!!Let's have another Mummy book. Ramses is the greatest. I love Lestat, Louis, Armand, Marius, all the vampires. But Ramses is most definitely at the top. The story is spell-binding!! Thanks Anne.

Summary: Not close to the Vampire Chronicles!
Review: I am one of those people who just loves the Vampire Chronicles and I am also very interested in ancient Egypt, so I thought The Mummy must be the perfect book for me to read, but I must admit that I liked her other books a lot more than this. I don't mean to say that it is not worth reading, but I had expected more from Anne Rice! There are better books out there about a subject like this! But it still fun to read.

Summary: Sexy, captivating, devilishly fun
Review: What a charmingly sexy book. I just loved it. It was such a refreshing read. I would give it a 10 but even Ramses can't outperform the great Lestat. Great book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You just can't read it once!
Review: Everyone has a favorite movie that they see over and over again, well this book will do the same. Everytime I reread it, I understand the characters more and more. One of Anne Rice's best, using her usual extremely descriptive scene's to allow you to fully immerse into her immaginative world.
