Rating: Summary: Third Book in the Casteel Series Review: "Fallen Hearts", the third book in the Casteel series, begins with a letter written by Heaven Leigh Casteel (the protagonist) to her estranged father, Luke Casteel. In it, she briefly explains what she's accomplished in the two-year gap since "Dark Angel" ended. Heaven is now a teacher back in her hometown, Winnerrow, and she's also engaged to her childhood sweetheart, Logan Stonewall. She asks her father to accompany her to the wedding, but he declines her invitation. (Her real father, Tony Tatterton, doesn't attend either, but Heaven didn't want him there anyway.)After their marriage, Heaven and Logan visit Tony and Jillian Tatterton in Boston before they begin their honeymoon in Virginia Beach. Obviously, this--or any--visit to Farthinggale Manor isn't without its troubles. First off, Jillian has reverted to the past, confusing Leigh (her dead daughter) with Heaven (her granddaughter). She makes quite a spectacle of herself, dressing and looking like a half-crazed clown and insinuating Heaven had seduced her second husband (Tony). Tony, as well, mistakes Heaven for his stepdaughter at times, including one horrible scene later on when he tries to rape Heaven. During their visit, Logan is lured by Tony's power and money and eagerly accepts a job as vice-president of marketing at Tatterton Toys. Heaven is reluctant and suspicious of Tony's "help", although she allows it all to happen. After their extravagant wedding reception Tony created for them, Heaven and Logan return to Winnerrow where they prepare for the construction of a new Tatterton Toys factory. The couple make several trips back and forth between Boston and Winnerrow, but the most important events are when Heaven realizes her long-lost love, Troy Tatterton, did not die in "Dark Angel" (in fact, he's very much alive and still in love with Heaven); and when Fanny (Heaven's younger jealous sister) seduces Logan and becomes pregnant by him. Fanny then insists Heaven and Logan support her financially so she can take care of her baby (Luke Jr). Heaven, also, becomes pregnant (with Annie) around the same time Fanny does. However, after being with both Troy and Logan, Heaven doesn't know exactly who the biological father of her child is. This family drama/mystery continues with the next book: "Gates of Paradise". Previous to "Fallen Hearts" is "Heaven" (#1) and "Dark Angel" (#2). After this book, there are two others: "Gates of Paradise" (#4) and "Web of Dreams" (#5). Out of all of V. C. Andrews' series, this one--the Casteel series--is still my favorite. Highly recommended to all V. C. Andrews fans.
Rating: Summary: A great story, but. . . Review: . . . in my ever so humble opinion, Heaven Casteel becomes far less likable in this book. Some other V. C. Andrews fans agree with me when I say that Heaven develops a snobbish attitude and enjoys flaunting her money around a little too much. I'm not saying she's bad or evil, just not as nice as she was in "Heaven" and "Dark Angel". Many find a certain scene between her and a lover touching and romantic. I view it as cheating. Heaven grew up in a dysfunctional family with a man who cheated on his wife with any woman he met. I know that the lover was supposedly the true love of her life, but didn't she decide to let go of him when she married Logan? I couldn't help but wonder if she became a little bit like her real father. As for her husband, Logan, he also betrays Heaven, and his betrayal makes no sense to me. I also found him less likable. Heaven and Logan do work hard to help the poorer people in Winnerrow, but I had the feeling they also looked down on the people. All in all, it's a good book. Now if only the characters could have been better!
Rating: Summary: good, but disapointing! Review: after reading Dark Angel, i was so sad that Troy was dead. but then once i read this book i was so happy he was alive, because for some reason i like him better than Logan and i think Heaven should be w/ him. anyway, once i found out he was alive, the possibility that Heaven would run into him again even after he left made me so happy!! i especially loved the part at the end of this book when Troy sent her the cottage. then when i read the back of Gates of Paradise, i was so mad!! i can't believe they ended Heaven and Logan's life. i wanted so much for Troy to come back!! he was never mean and spiteful to Heaven the way Logan was. i mean, he was so rude to her when she met him at that cafe in Boston! Troy and Heaven were meant for each other! and then Tony had to go and ruin it all. i know its stupid to get this caught up in a book, but i can't help it!! if you feel the same way i do, or even if you dont, and you want to discuss it with me, please email me!
Rating: Summary: Good Book!! Review: After reading Heaven and Dark Angel I was really excited to read Fallen Hearts. It was really good especially in the beginning when she finds out about Troy and I think that it's sad the way things turned out. Logan wasn't very nice in this Book but it was good to see Heaven was happy when she got custody of Drake. I'm reading Gates Of Paradise now and I'm hoping it will be as good as the others if not better I think it will be.
Rating: Summary: Of good and of evil Review: At last Heaven and Luke get married! Tony was very disturbing and you slowly see the reasons behind why he invited Heaven to stay at Farthy. The story unravelled so unexpectedly, it left me breathless. The Casteel series is my favorite.
Rating: Summary: Fallen Harts- One of the best VC Andrews book Review: Fallen Hearts was the third V.C Andrews book that I read; and I found that it was better that some of the other story lines in the Dawn, and Flowers in the Atic. Heaven is more realistic, and it is not one of those 'poor heaven' story lines like Dawn. Athough it has the typical incest, forbiden love, and broken heart; factors that are in V.C Andrews books it cumulates in the end to have a happy, optimistic, and mysterious future. Although I would have liked for there to be a book inbetween Fallen Hearts and Gates of Paradise; to go into some of the elements that made fallen hearts so good like Fanny and Logan's affair and producing a child; and Heaven cheating on Logan and conceiving Troy's child. Fallen hearts is the best book in this series and you probably won't like the other books in the series; they were some what dissapointing compared to Falling Hearts.
Rating: Summary: A ghostly visitor in the night............ Review: Favorite book! The forbidden romance in the book was sad and beautiful.Who cares if none of the characters have any real morals? Heaven and Logan have found heaven in their wedding bliss. Or have they? Logan is there with her but Heaven still dreams of her tortured Troy who drowned in the sea. Even amongst the splendor and comfort of her father's riches Heaven finds herself feeling a cold forbidding as Logan is lured by the dev- I mean, Tony deeper into a world of greed. As Logan becomes more and more of a workaholic he finds himself moving further and further from his Heaven. Logan's detour from the moral and straight path reaches a head as he wanders into a cabin in the woods and a loud brassy incubus brings him over to the dark side.... Meanwhile back at the mansion by the sea, Heaven is visited by a ghostly visitor at night. When she finds out who it is she finds herself throwing caution away to be reunited again with the one she thought she would never see on this side of heaven again... This is a wonderful, shocking book not only because of T*** though that's the part that sticks out to me most of all! Can their l*** be more poignant and bittersweet?! Also because L**** reveals his true colors and I don't feel sorry for him one bit, I just want to smear him with slime!
Rating: Summary: Family Trouble and a Custody Hearing Review: Heaven and Logan had a beautiful wedding. Heaven wanted to have a good relationship with Luke, whom she had known as her dad when she was little. Shortly after she got reacquainted with Drake Heaven discovered this ugly fact: Tony had forbidden Luke to have any contact with her. I would be very angry if somebody told anybody I wanted to hear from not to ever speak to me at all. What's worse was Tony assaulted Heaven again. Fanny did stoop low to try to turn Drake against Heaven. The truth eventually came out when it came to the hearing about Drake's custody. Fanny needed to learn the hard way that a relationship shouldn't be started with lies. I believe that Heaven is a more competent guardian for Drake than Fanny would be.

Rating: Summary: Drama Queen Review: Heaven may been a loving and caring person in "Heaven" and "Dark Angel", but she is quite selfish in this installment. She has many secrets just like her "grandparents", and doens't know how to be faithful to her husband. She has an incestual relationship with her uncle Troy, who she claims is her true love. She pouts throughout the book, like a child.
Frankly, when she found out that her husband had an affair with Fannie, and got her pregnant, she should have told the truth about Troy. Everyone thought Tony was her stepfahter, they would have never suspected that Troy was really her uncle.
Instead she she keeps it in for her daughter to discover in the next book. The more youe read, the more you will dislike Heaven. She was good in the beginning, but she just ends up as a drama queen.
