Summary: the best book
Review: You are drawn into the book as soon as you start to read. you are then able to relate to the characters, and think they are real. I Love Nothing, he seems so special in the book. One book to die for, I loved it so much, it was the first Poppy brite book I read, and now I collect them, and I can't stop reading them. This book is brilliant.

Review: Poppy Z Brite really knows how to write an excellent story."Lost Souls" is a great example of the work she is capable of doing.Even though its her 1st novel, u can tell she has just as much talent as any other big author like Stephen King.Lost souls has many intresting characters and a great story to go along. i found my self not able to put this book down.It gives the reader a great sense of what a modern vampire is about, it updates how vampires live(not in crumbling castles)

Review: Lost Souls is the first book I've read by Poppy Z. Brite. From the first page I was hooked and when I came to the last page I wanted more from Poppy. This book is so good you want to devour it all in one sitting. I love Nothing and Ghost.

Review: ..it is a bit slow @ the begginning, but once the story gets along, it's incredible!! Zillah was my favorite, next to Nothing. Wonderful book!! P.S- yes, New Orleans is magical, but it's not as trashy as she makes it out to be.

Summary: Amazing!!!
Review: Lost Souls is a masterpiece of horror. The characters are brutally honest and realistic. At the risk of sounding corny, I felt Ghost, Steve, Nothing,etc. I felt them as if they were standing next to me and I could wrap them around my body and soul. This novel is beautifully written and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the horror/gothic genre.

Review: Not long after I got my hot little hands on this book, my slightly-less-liberal parents confiscated the copy with exclamations of "How could you read this trash?" Well, mainly because it was so vivid, so real, that Steve and Ghost and even Nothing became my best friends. This wasn't just a horror book about stoned vampires- this changed my life, cliched though it may sound. If I ever find myself in a little town called Missing Mile, I would not be surprised- in fact, delighted- to find that I have stepped out of reality and into one of the best books ever written. Or maybe it's been real all along, and it took an author like this to make us notice.

Summary: Dark fantasy/horror at its best.
Review: Poppy Z. Brite has written a novel of the vampiric which also dwells into various subcultures including goth. What is so realistic about this novel is it;s portrayel of each character in depth with all their flaws, strengths, weaknesses, and fears (even the vampires!). Each character is enveloped in their own loneliness and needs, and the mastery of this novel is that they are all very interconnected and in each other they are able to find a remnant of themselves. Its deep, dark, erotic and also modern with all the punk-angst and rebellion, music and asthetics to please any reader. Poppy never misses a beat with this novel. There is a fantastic plot, vivid descriptions, indepth portrayel of characters, and she also creates a strong atmosphere of foreboding and dread. Important elements in any horror novel of course.

Review: I always thought I couldn't digest a book like this but now that I am more mature I can finally handle it. I had a friend(whose name is not important)who loved this book to death, so I walked overtoa book store and bought it. I have to say that the atmosphere,mood,and sexualism is the most erotic and highly detailed I have read of a book. I love it!!!!P.S I am still a Sci-Fi lover. Go DUNE!!!!

Review: Most "dark" books that i have read make the darkness look stupid and pointless, with no feeling, just darkness. This book has a point to the darkness, and a feeling that goes along with it. I love that feeling. My whole book is underlined, pages folded over, and practically memorized. Lost Souls is one of the most amazing books i have ever read.

Review: i was told about Lost souls by a friend,once a got the book,i opened the first page and never put it down afterwards,i have never in my whole life felt such emotions as i did with Lost souls,i cried and laughed got mad it was everything,i could ever ask for,Lost Souls is the best book i have ever read since this book i have read other books from Poppy she is an amazing writer in every aspect,i felt wonderful things from this book,this book is my gateway to another world in which i love to visit,if only i could stay.
