Summary: Lost Souls Indeed
Review: I don't understand why this book was praised over. The characters (especially Nothing, Steve, and Anne) had no sense at all. You can't relate to any of them due their actions of stupidity all through-out the book. The only thing that gave this book substance was the vampires that followed Zillah around and the music that was mentioned. Other than that, how can this be a gothic novel? All it is, is an excuse for some sex fetish that people have and no creative way of expressing it. If you want twisted sex fetishes, read about the gay characters in a clive barker book! At least he's more inventive.

Summary: I can't stop thinking of this book!
Review: I don't read alot. I usally don't find the time to! But this book was really good! I don't know how I came across it, I think it was a friend. But I could relate well to all the characters in this story and it was very well writen. I feel so much like nothing( the boy in the story) right now. and that book just reminded me of me! I am starting drawing blood tonight. I hope it will be as good as Lost Souls.. I just couldn't put that book down! If you love vampires this is the book for you to read!

Summary: the Real vampires
Review: This is the closest book I have ever read to describe real blood fetish. A must read for vampires, vampire wanna-be's and anyone interested in a warped love story. Brite is a goddess and her work is better, even, then Anne Rice and Clive Barker. The characters make you want to love them and hate them and be them. (as well as have sex with them) haunting...erotic...and odd.

Summary: Absolutely beautiful
Review: I read Lost Souls almost 2 years ago and read it 4 times. I read a lot and this was only 1 of 2 books that I loved so much that I read again. The other was Drawing Blood. I felt that Ghost was just an incredible person, even if he is fictional. The story was beautifully written, the characters so incredibly developed, it's like they're your friends or at least people you know. I highly recommend to it anyone, I even got my friends hooked to this and Poppy's other novels.

Review: This book to me is the best book ever written. I personally think that they should have a movie made based on it.I think it would become a hit in the box office. It has intriuge, suspense, and it seems as if it could actually happen. As i said before this is a truly wonderful book. I personally have read it numerous times. I will continue to read 'LOST SOULS' by Poppy Z. Brite. I advise anyone and everyone who love's vampire literature. Please take the time and at least look over this book.. You won't regret it.

Summary: Lifesaver!
Review: Exactly a year ago today, I read Lost Souls for the first time and was astonished by it's power on my life.....I don't know why I bought it - I just felt compelled to do it, as if I had read some of it before but couldn't remember where...it was one of the most important choices in my life but I did not know it then..... I can't say any different to what has been stated by others before me, only that I haven't stopped thinking about it for a whole year, and that has never happened to me with a book before (and I read a LOT!). I try to keep Ghost in my head as much as I can, as it is like he is one of my best friends and I can tell him anything (but he will know anyway - after all, he IS psychic, isn't he!)..... The novel itself has had a profound effect on my life, and I know that sounds dramatic, but it's true. When I was little, I was a person who was made up of both science and art...but as I grew up, I lost most of my artistic streak in me and felt "wrong" in terms of balance. I truly believe that Lost Souls saved me from being imbalanced in a way that I would have inevitably suffered from, as it helped me to fulfill my artistic desires and prevented it from waning so much that I no longer possessed it..... If anyone feels that they need more creativity in their life or that they are suffering a loss of art in this way, then I would seriously advise you to read this book..........

Summary: Beautiful
Review: I loved it, i still love it, I picked up this book and just could not put it down. Few books i read from front to back on the same day because i could not put it down. The characters were so well written i could picture each character as i read. Also, the plot was very well constructed, as i was not confused by nothing happening ar too much happening with no exlplanations. While this book may not be for the weak at heart or more prudish, it is definatly a must read if you are into vampires, fiction or just a great story.

Review: Lost souls is the most beautiful book I have ever read. It is so magically descriptive and the whole thing twines together wonderfully. I hope everyone gets a chance to settle in with these characters on a stormy night, whoever does will fall in love.
